1958 yılında doğdu. 1984 yılında Anadolu Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesini bitirdi. Erişkin Psikiyatri doktorasını 1991 yılında Asistan Dr. olarak tamamladı. 1991-2004 yılları arasında Ankara Numune Hastanesinde sırasıyla Psikiyatri Uzmanı, Doçent, 2. Psikiyatri Klinik Şefi ve son olarak AMATEM Direktörlüğü görevlerinde yer aldı.
