Dr.Öğr. Üyesi Hasan ÇİÇEK   Adıyaman’ ın Gerger ilçesinde doğdu. Adana’ da Cumhuriyet Orta Okulu ve Karşıyaka Lisesinden mezun oldu.  Yurt dışında devlet adına okumak için Türkiye genelinde yapılan sınavda ilk 50 öğrenci arasına girerek İngiltere ‘ de okumak üzere burs kazandı. 1978 yılında  İngiltere' ye gitti.. İngiltere de sırası ile İngilizce dil eğitimi , A Level ( bizdeki FKB) eğitimi aldı daha sonra  Leeds Üniversitesinde Tekstil Mühendisliği ( BSc Honours) ve aynı üniversite de  Computer Simulation Of Melt Spinning konusunda doktorasını  (PhD) tamamlayarak  1987  yılında Türkiye' ye  döndü.
