Occupational Health and Safety Laboratory

Occupational health is a field that aims to sustain physical, psychological and social well-being of employees in all professions and to improve it to a higher level.
“Occupation” and “health” as being universal two concepts are examined in a broad scope. The health of an employee is always at risk due to various hazardous reasons wherever they are and they are influenced adversely due to their environment with a great possibility. One of the most important factors in occupational health is “safety” and health and those two concepts are executed regarding the law.
Üsküdar University Department of Occupational Health and Safety raises specialized professionals who works with aim to raise the health capacity of employees, to asses, evaluate and take measures on all types of health hazards caused by workplace and surroundings and to create works that is suitable to employees’ anatomical, physiological and psychological qualities or to provide suitability of employees’ qualities to qualities of the work.
Occupational Health and Safety Laboratory operates its activities with the aims to raise experts who create solutions by determining the problems for healthy employees.
In this laboratory, educational and training activities regarding introduction of Personal Protective Equipment, working at height and first aid.
