Nutrition Principles Practice Laboratory

The Department of Nutrition and Dietetics was established to teach the preparation, cooking, and service of foods within the scope of the curriculum and to teach the changes in the structure of foods, macro and micronutrient items during these applications which are carried out in the Nutritional Principles Practice Laboratory.  

The Department of Nutrition and Dietetics which is in Üsküdar University’s Health Sciences Faculty is the first of its kind where students need to learn everything about food in the educational process from our laboratory.

Applications of Nutrition Principles Practice Laboratory

For the applications of the Nutrition Principles Practice Laboratory; Nutrients, nutrient groups, nutrient preparation and cooking techniques, changes in food processing such as taste, flavor, smell and consistency, diets and characteristics recommended in adult diseases, applications of foodstuffs in childhood stages and supplementary foods, diet therapy in childhood diseases related applications are being implemented.

Üsküdar University Faculty of Health Sciences Department of Nutrition and Dietetics is equipped with the necessary hardware and equipment for the applications to be carried out in the Nutrition Principles Practice Laboratory, 7 workbenches which are of 3 meters in length, and the equipment required to perform these applications on each workbench.
