Midterm Make-up Exams Applications - Overlapping Exams Notice Petitions

Students who cannot attend the midterm exams of the 2024-2025 Academic Year Fall Semester midterm exams due to excuses  should upload the petition to the ‘Online Petition System’ with the report/document between 29 November - 3 December 2024.For Online Petition System login: https://online.uskudar.edu.tr/You can log in to the system with your student e-mail address and password that you have used on ALMS/STIX.Students whose midterm exams overlap in the 2024-2025 Academic Year Fall Semester should apply for midterm make-up exams and write both of the overlapping exams in their make-up exam petitions.The exam of the course belonging to your department / class will be taken on the day and time specified in the exam programme. For the exam of your other conflicting course, you need to apply for the midterm excuse exam by logging into the Online Petition System.Midterm make-up exam application results will be announced on 6 December 2024 .Make-up exams will be held between 9-15 December 2024 . You Are Invited to the "Voices of Children: Life After the Earthquake" International Symposium and Photography Exhibition!

The earthquakes of February 6, with the epicenter in Maraş and magnitudes of 7.7 and 7.6, have left a lasting and devastating impact. Among those most affected are children. The Voices of Children project explores the experiences and perspectives of children aged 5-10 living in tent and container cities post-earthquake. Regarding Midterm Exams for Rectorate Common Courses

The midterm exams for rectorate common courses in the 2024-2025 fall semester will take place on Wednesday and Thursday, November 27-28, 2024, between 5:30 p.m. and 7:20 p.m. In accordance with regulations, the midterm exams will be conducted in classrooms under supervision, similar to other courses. You can learn which campus and classroom you are assigned to, along with exam rules, from the announcements to be posted on STIX one week before the exam. Students must take the exam in their designated classrooms. The session will be moderated by Lecturer Özgül Öztürk from the Department of Cartoon and Animation.As a part of the University Culture course, this event will feature discussions on industry trends, workflows, different business models, and career roadmaps in the fields of visualization and animation. Faculty of Communication

It is observed that communication, which has central preserve in every aspect of human and social life, takes on the role of engine power as social change and transformation parallel to the developments in information technologies. In our world of information age, communication is dominant not only in the present but also in the form of the future and it reveals how important and necessary communication education is.


Üsküdar University Faculty of Communication has also undertaken the task of raising qualified communicators with well-trained academic staff, equipped with state-of-the-art physical facilities and an educational and training program suited to its mission and vision.


Departments in Faculty of Communication 

In 2013-2014 Academic Year, Faculty of Communication was founded and had three departments: Communication Sciences, Advertising Design and Communication, and New Media. By 2019-2020 Academic Year, the faculty has seven departments: Media and Communication, Radio, Television and Cinema, New Media and Journalism, Visual Communication Design, Advertising, Public Relations and Publicity, Cartoon and Animation.


Education in Faculty of Communication

Üsküdar University Faculty of Communication is completed in five years, with a total of four years undergraduate education, one year of English preparatory study. Students who do not want to take English preparatory courses complete their undergraduate education in four years.



The curriculum at Üsküdar University Faculty of Communication, which provides four-year undergraduate education in addition to English preparation, has been prepared in order to have a solid intellectual basis and to acquire necessary knowledge in professional terms. In the first two years of undergraduate education at Üsküdar University Faculty of Communication, general scientific formation courses are mainly given, and within the next two years, the emphasis is given to the professional courses required by the department. Thus, at the end of four years, the student has both a solid intellectual formation and professional knowledge and knowledge in communication.
