Medicinal and Aromatic Plants Laboratory

Medicinal and Aromatic Plants Laboratory is a practice hall which established in Üsküdar University Vocational School of Health Services Building which shares the same laboratory area with Food Technology Laboratory. The aim of the Medicinal and Aromatic Plants program is to educate the qualified staff who are capable to determine, preserve and culture the valuable medicinal and aromatic plants with specific knowledge regarding these organisms. For these purposes, various perfume formulations with evaporating (essential) lipids which are derived from plants via diluted ethyl alcohol, personalized perfume trials, tincture/ointment/cream construction, preparation of tea composition, hot lipid extraction techniques from medicinal plants, infusion and decoction techniques are performed in the Medicinal and Aromatic Plants Laboratory.
