Neurotechnology and Bioinformatics Laboratory

With the Neurotechnology and Bioinformatic Laboratory settled at Uskudar University, our students are presented the opportunity to practice their studies based on neuroscience.

Beside software applications, with the use of wireless EEG Emotiv Epoc Neuroheadset, raw EEG data is collected first. Following the noise removal step signal processing is used for the analysis of the signal and feature extraction phase. In order to improve the performance of classification outcome and select more informative features, numerous optimization algorithms are employed.

Application of engineering approaches to the cases revealed by other disciplines is a valuable field of study for our students to address their questions.
