Forensic Biology and Genetics Laboratory

Forensic Biology and Genetics Laboratory is a unit where the molecular genetic analyzes that may contribute to clarifying a crime incident are performed such as cell, paraffin embedded tissue, blood, urine, sperm, hair, bone, saliva and oral swab, etc.

Üsküdar University, which established Türkiye's first undergraduate forensic science education, aims to enable graduates to work as expert personnel in criminal laboratories and in public and private institutions and organizations that will work with all kinds of criminal evidence with the difference of the biology and genetics education within engineering faculties.
In the Forensic Biology and Genetics Laboratory, it is aimed to raise competent, responsible, self-improving scientists who are specialized in their fields, serving the judiciary-society by utilizing the modern science and technology, and it is taught to use correctly the calibrated devices with internationally accepted standards or valid and reliable methods we have developed.
