Animation Laboratory

Üsküdar University, Faculty of Communication, Animation Laboratory located in an 87 square meter area with special ventilation system and cabling infrastructure. In the laboratory, there are 30+1 computers that have 2.50 GHz processor and are with 11th Gen Intel Core i9 processor. All of 31 computers have 32 GB RAM support that have high process capacity and high configuration performance.  NVIDIA RTX A4000 display cards and hard discs with a capacity of 474 GB are used in the computers with 2048 x 1152 px screen resolution. The preferred monitor for the computers is DELL P3221D. Also, all facilities of the digital age are provided for students thanks to drawing tablets, projector and smart projection system.

Purpose of the Animation Laboratory

Animation Laboratory is used in all courses within the curriculum of Department of Cartoon and Animation. All facilities of the laboratory were benefited in the course on project creation and development such as Advanced Animation Applications, Cartoon, Creating Characters and 2D, and Introduction to Basic Animation and Design. 
Programs such as Autodesk Maya, Cinema 4D – Maxon, Adobe Character Animator that are developed for creating 3D and 2D designs are installed in all the computers in this modern laboratory in order to meet all sorts of needs required by applied courses within the curriculum of Department of Cartoon and Animation.

Facilities of the Animation Laboratory 

Our students who continue to their higher education within Üsküdar University, have opportunity of using animation laboratory besides classes.  Moreover, this laboratory with a high-speed Internet access has quality of a working space for thesis studies and project that students can work together with their lectures.
