Prof. Arif Aktuğ Ertekin: "The share of health services has increased over the years"

Making the opening speeches of the health symposium, Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences Prof. Arif Aktuğ Ertekin stated that Türkiye has improved its health services by going through difficult roads. Ertekin said that “As the Faculty of Health Sciences, we are celebrating the 100th anniversary of our Republic. It is necessary to evaluate health in three areas. One is the service pillar, one is the education pillar and the other is the research pillar. In the first years of our Republic, it was almost as if we had been reborn as a society that had come out of war. The health system of the Republic of Türkiye was trying to survive, and difficult roads were passed. One of the most prominent issues is related to preventive health services. In fact, before the republic, the issue of health was always examined and various investments were made for this purpose. Over the years, the share of healthcare has increased. We have young friends among us, and I hope they will make the effort to bring these works to better places. There have been a lot of studies in our country in recent years. The citations you receive to your work are important."

Prof. Hikmet Koçak: "No matter what profession we are in, we have to be the best"

Emphasizing that no investment in health will be wasted at the symposium, Vice Rector Prof. Hikmet Koçak said: "The future will be built with the lessons learned from the past. If we do not know our past well, we cannot be very hopeful about the future. Our faculty of health sciences represents our university as a locomotive. We are trying to carry out health services here as a whole. The time you acquire knowledge is important; however, it is more important to maintain and develop it. Investments in health are never wasted. Everyone needs health. No matter what profession we are in, we have to be the best. That is how we have to work. Our university has expectations from you, as do your expectations. Our goal is to graduate you well."
