Corona virus should not be feared, precautions should be taken
Üsküdar University held a conference to discuss corona virus outbreak that emerged in China, the latest data on the death of 426 people and many issues from the conspiracy theories on the social media to the ways of protection.
Üsküdar University Advisor to the Rector, Faculty of Medicine, Department Head of Internal Medicine and Medical Pharmacology Department Prof. Tayfun Uzbay pointed out the importance of preventive and preventive health services. Uzbay emphasized the importance of vaccination and said, “Today there is an opposition to the vaccine. The most important tool of preventive and protective medicine is vaccine. Therefore, rejecting vaccination is very dangerous.”
Üsküdar University Faculty of Medicine Dean Prof. Haydar Sur said, “The World Health Organization does not consider Turkey among the risky countries.” He said that the Ministry of Health has carried out very important studies and managed this process well.

She stressed that there should be no panic, and also underlined that care should be given to hand hygiene especially.

Üsküdar University held a press conference titled “The rights and wrongs of the corona virus” at the Senate Hall in Main Campus. Üsküdar University Faculty of Medicine Dean Prof. Haydar Sur stated that as of today, the virus in China has caused death also in Hong Kong and the Philippines.

Prof. Haydar Sur pointed out the importance of hygiene and cleanliness in protecting against viruses and stated that everyone can easily make their own disinfectant. He said, “You can prepare it by pouring 10 milligrams of bleach in 1 liter of boiled water. You can use this mixture for cleaning with the help of a cloth.”
