Another award for Prof. Ahmet Konrot, who has carried out important studies in the international arena in the field of Language and Speech. The American Speech-Language and Hearing Association (ASHA) awarded Konrot in the field of "The Certificate of Recognition for Outstanding Contribution in International Achievement" for his outstanding achievements in the fields of speech and language therapy.

Along with Konrot, Prof. İlknur Maviş and Prof. S. Seyhun Topbaş were also deemed worthy of the award.
They provided the conditions to be nominated for the award with studies such as opening the first Language and Speech Therapy program in Türkiye, organizing various seminars, congresses and in-service seminars with the support of national and international faculty members from both the field and related fields, opening speech and language therapy centers in universities and providing therapy services to people in need, ensuring the sustainability and recognizability of the profession by participating in international projects and congresses.
American Speech-Language and Hearing Association ASHA and Areas of Work:
ASHA continues its activities as a professional, scientific and accredited association with 234 thousand members consisting of speech and language therapists and audiologists not only in the USA, but also in various countries. For more than 70 years, ASHA has rewarded its members for their contributions to their profession in many fields of work. One of them is "The Certificate of Recognition for Outstanding Contribution in International Achievement" and includes the requirements for the members who are eligible for the award "such as developing and managing programs, conducting distinguished publications and research, organizing trainings at the international level, and providing therapy services to those with communication disorders, etc." However, this award is given to individuals or groups who have made an impact for the profession through such work in another country outside the United States. The resulting success can be focused on a certain time, or it can be a contribution that has a lifetime spread. The award was given only to candidates from Türkiye and Australia in 2024.
