President of Üsküdar University, Psychiatrist Prof. Nevzat Tarhan made important evaluations under the title of 'Expectations and Solution Proposals in International Health Services' at the İstanbul University-Cerrahpaşa Leaders Summit with the theme of 'Health'. At the meeting, in which health problems were discussed in detail, Tarhan described the biggest problem in the field of health as lack of trust and coordination. Tarhan's views were also published in the published magazine.

Tarhan made the following remarks at the Summit he attended:

"I am a psychiatrist. I graduated from this institution, Cerrahpaşa. I would like to express that there were some excellent topics. I also took quite a few notes. We will definitely benefit from the shares here. In my opinion, the most important and priority issue lies in the answer to the question of what is the biggest problem both in health tourism and in other health fields. The first is the trust that Dr. Alper Cihan mentioned in the first speeches. The thing that affects health tourism and health mobility in Türkiye the most is that physicians do not feel comfortable in terms of trust. They move frequently or go abroad, and they do not feel safe in their future. This is a significant risk. In corporate engagement studies, the first place is that people love their job and feel valuable in their job, the second place is to feel secure in their future, and the third place is the wage they receive. To summarize, the issue here is not "emotional". Good health care is possible with good physicians. A structure that cannot keep people in the system causes under-the-counter health services. It causes Our ‘brand value’, which is in very good condition in health, to be damaged. The Ministry of Commerce does not put in effort for Türkiye's brand value in global competition.

The second important issue is that there is a lot of lack of coordination in the bureaucracy in Ankara. It has become very difficult to come up with solutions. Everything is referred to the top. The departure of physicians abroad is a loss of human capital. Physicians do not feel secure in Türkiye to a large extent. During the Covid period, as Üsküdar University, we conducted a study on approximately 6,800 people on post-traumatic growth and being affected after trauma. We published it, and the book came out. There were over 800 medics among them. The participants were from all over Türkiye. 25 graduate students did it in clinical psychology, and there were more than 800 health care workers. ‘Are you most afraid of COVID, what else are you afraid of, what worries you the most because of Covid?’ They were worried about violence in healthcare, maybe it is not dangerous for health tourism at the moment, but it is important that violence in health should not be ignored here. This is one of the important reasons for the departure of physicians. They do not feel safe. In summary, the health bureaucracy is not very successful in defending the rights of physicians and coordination between institutions. It says go settle a simple matter in court."
