Üsküdar University Vocational School of Health Services (VSHS) Anesthesia Program Instructor Abdurrahman Şengül and his students participated in the '19th Educational Symposium' organized by the Anesthesia Technicians and Technologists Association (ATTD). During the symposium, the students also had the opportunity to attend the '4th Difficult Airway Management Course,' where they gained insight into the latest technological advancements and techniques in anesthesia. Üsküdar University Anesthesia Program second-year student Yeter Aydemir earned the first-place award in the competition held during the simulation session.
The symposium was held at the Faculty of Medicine of Kocaeli University.
Under the leadership of Instructor Abdurrahman Şengül, Üsküdar University VSHS Anesthesia program students attended the symposium in large numbers.
The symposium was also attended by association members, academics, and students.
4 different sessions were held
The 19th Educational Symposium, with approximately 250 participants, opened with a speech by the Board Chairman of the Anesthesia Technicians and Technologists Association, Anesthesia Technician Yasin Burak Özer. After the opening, the sessions began. The sessions covered four topics: CPR, Blue Code, Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation in Special Situations, and Simulation.

In the simulation session, Üsküdar University Anesthesia Program second-year student Yeter Aydemir won first place in the competition she participated in.
After the symposium, the IV. Difficult Airway Management Course was held at the Kocaeli University Health Services Vocational School.
6 areas of theoretical and practical training were provided
In the 4th Difficult Airway Management course, 50 participants received one-on-one practical training in 6 groups. Theoretical and practical training in 6 areas, prepared for ventilation techniques and difficult airway interventions, were delivered to the participants.
During the symposium and course, experts and anesthesia technicians shared their experiences with participants and provided hands-on practice, aiming to train qualified personnel in the profession.

Sharing his thoughts on the symposium and course, Şengül stated that "It was a great honor for me and my students to share this special time discussing the developing technologies in anesthesia, especially interventions in emergency situations. Our main goal is to increase the number of qualified personnel in the field of anesthesia. Organizing this educational symposium and workshop was not just an event, but also highlighted the importance of teamwork and overcoming challenges. I sincerely thank all my student colleagues and professionals."
