Collaboration meeting on the future of our civilization's geography

Burak Sarman, the National Universities Coordinator of the Turkish Youth Foundation (TÜGVA), along with his delegation, visited President of Üsküdar University Prof. Dr. Nevzat Tarhan at his office. During the meeting, which focused on cooperation regarding the future of our civilization's geography, the 'Manifesto for Universal Human Values and Rights,' prepared in partnership between Üsküdar University and Kazakhstan's L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University, was also discussed. The manifesto was presented to students from the Middle East, Central Asia, Africa, and Palestine.

TÜGVA Deputy Chairman and Universities Coordinator Burak Sarman, along with his delegation, visited President of Üsküdar University Prof. Nevzat Tarhan at his office.

Sarman and his team briefed Tarhan on the projects and activities undertaken by TÜGVA.

Attention Drawn to the 'Manifesto for Universal Human Values and Rights'


The significance of the 'Manifesto for Universal Human Values and Rights,' which has signed by nearly 400,000 people, was highlighted during the discussion.

The manifesto, which draws attention to recent events in the Middle East, Central Asia, Africa, and most recently Gaza, was prepared in partnership between Üsküdar University and Kazakhstan's L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University and opened for signatures.

Supported by hundreds of universities from numerous countries around the world, the manifesto is planned to be presented to the United Nations General Assembly and the Security Council.

Support for Students from the Middle East, Central Asia, Africa, and Palestine


During the meeting, which addressed events in the Middle East, Central Asia, Africa, and Gaza in Palestine, the support provided to students from these regions studying at Üsküdar University was also discussed.

Prof. Nevzat Tarhan emphasized support for these students on every platform and noted that the Intercultural Club at Üsküdar University recently organized the "Celebration of Syria’s Freedom Program." In this program, Syrian students at Üsküdar University celebrated Syria’s independence with great enthusiasm and replaced the Syrian flag displayed among other national flags at the university with a new one.

Tarhan also expressed support for Palestinian students during these challenging times, highlighting that Üsküdar University students stand in solidarity with them.

"A Sun is Rising" Gathering…


The collaboration meeting focused on the future of our civilization's geography also discussed the upcoming "A Sun is Rising" gathering, which will take place on Wednesday, January 1, on Galata Bridge, to stand against oppression and raise awareness of the massacre in Palestine.
