Volunteer young people of the Haydi Tut Elimi Association, who went to Hatay, which was affected by the February 6 earthquakes in its 1st year and created a smile on the faces of children in Hatay's difficult post-earthquake process, met with President of Üsküdar University and Haydi Tut Elimi Association Chairman of the Board Prof. Nevzat Tarhan.

President of Üsküdar University Prof. Nevzat Tarhan received the students from Üsküdar, who carried out successful voluntary studies, in the Senate Hall.

The meeting was attended by Üsküdar University Secretary General Şelçuk Uysaler, Young Minds Academy Application and Research Center Director Dr. Nebiye Yaşar, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences Department of Psychology Positive Psychology Coordinator Asst. Prof. Fatma Turan and Haydi Tut Elimi Association Secretary General Ayşe Banu Güncenci.

Earthquake volunteers talked about their experiences

Volunteers of the Haydi Tut Elimi Association shared their experiences in Hatay, Antakya, Suvatlı and Saçaklı Villages and Antakya Akçaova with Tarhan within the context of the 'Hand in Hand for Hatay' program.

Prof. Nevzat Tarhan stated that he experienced sadness and pride at the same time after the experiences of the students and the people of Hatay, who are still struggling to recover after the earthquake disaster.

Stating that the power of social solidarity has always been one of the most important values of humanity, Tarhan noted that one of the most concrete examples of these values is the aid activities carried out by the Haydi Tut Elimi Association in cooperation with Üsküdar University for children and families in Hatay. Tarhan expressed that "Silent kindness is the highest and highest authority of kindness."

Noting that every place in the earthquake zone will remain valuable and important, Prof. Nevzat Tarhan said that as Üsküdar University, we have been providing aid and support to the provinces in the earthquake zone in various ways since last year and have gained unforgettable experiences throughout their lives.

Pointing out that the recognition of these acts of kindness by people today and in the future is an example, Tarhan pointed out that it will be important to encourage people to provide such aid.
