Sociology; An expert in overview of social events

Üsküdar University has started “Sociology Master’s Program (Thesis)” within Institute of Social Sciences. The program offers professional deepening and academic career opportunities for those who wish to specialize in sociology and wish to develop a different perspective on social events. Üsküdar University aims to make an important contribution to Sociology literature by adding the “Social Dynamics of the Turkish World” course to its master's program.
 
Sociology, which is necessary for social science, has become an increasingly important field in terms of evaluating human relations and social developments. The Sociology Master Program, which is a postgraduate program with a thesis, is opened under Üsküdar University Institute of Social Sciences. Üsküdar University Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Head of the Department of Sociology Prof. Ebulfez Süleymanlı provided information about the Master's Program in Sociology, which provides solutions to social problems, makes sense, and provides critical methodology for critical approach when necessary and gave the following information about the program: “Sociology is a socially important discipline. The Sociology Master's Program offers a curriculum to improve students' sociological knowledge and to transfer interactions with other social sciences within the scope of applications. Graduates of the Sociology Master’s program will gain competence in line with their interests as well as basic knowledge.”

The Social Dynamics of the Turkish World is included in the Sociology Graduate Program

Prof. Ebulfez Süleymanlı stated that the Sociology Graduate Program at Üsküdar University offers students a wide variety of qualified course content. He continued as; “we aim to train experts who deal with all aspects of Eastern and Western civilization and evaluate the positive and negative aspects of historical sociological issues with the Sociology Master’s Program. We aim to develop an indigenous, original and individual perspective that can remain in peace with the ancient roots of these civilizations without getting lost in Eastern and Western civilizations.”  

Prof. Dr. Ebulfez Süleymanlı said that Turkey's understanding of the historical and geographical heritage, contributed significantly to the explanation and said that they were preparing a program exceeds the claims. He remarked that they aim to make an important contribution to the sociology literature with the course of “Social Dynamics of Turkish World” and he continued; “we offer students a detailed and in-depth sociology education with courses such as Theoretical Problems in Contemporary Sociological Theory, Sociology of Knowledge, International Migration and Multiculturalism, Poststructuralist Theory Readings and Theoretical Problems of Social Theory within the scope of the program. Courses such as Problems of Turkish Sociology, Social History Turkey and Problems, Social Dynamics of the Turkish world, in Turkey Identity, Ethnicity and Minority and courses such as identity and social structure in the Middle East will also be started.

Those who have a bachelor's degree in social sciences can apply to the Sociology Graduate Program

Prof. Ebulfez Süleymanlı emphasized that anyone with a degree in sociology or other social sciences may apply to the Master's Program in Sociology with thesis. He emphasized that Sociology Master’s Program with thesis is important especially for those who want an academic career. Prof. Ebulfez Süleymanlı indicated that in addition to academic career, graduates have the opportunity to work in governmental or private institutions, or non-governmental organizations. He emphasized that those who have completed the Sociology Master’s Program will have the opportunity to work in different fields such as publishing, human resources and public relations.
