Rümeysa Sever: "I aimed to be the voice of girls with my work"
Sever, who participated in the international design competition organized by the Tarnów Academy Faculty of Arts with her work drawing attention to the rights of girls, said that she wanted to be the voice of girls to inform on their rights. Sever said that "I was proud on behalf of myself and my university that my work on girls' right to education was among the works selected in the international poster competition we participated in. I would also like to express my gratitude to our instructor Asst. Prof. Ezgi Şen who supported me in this process. The reason why I focused on this issue in my work was to be the voice of girls who are deprived of many important rights such as the right to education due to their gender. Although there is an increase in education rates at the moment, who knows how many girls are still not educated. Just like I mentioned in my study; 'Education is everyone's right.' ".
Hilal Akşan: "The problem of starvation has become a serious problem"
In her work, Akşan draws attention to the issue of ‘starvation’, which is one of the growing problems in the world day by day and Akşan said that "In my poster work, I wanted to draw attention to the issue of 'Hunger', which is of great importance within the scope of the Sustainable Development Goals that the United Nations is working on. The problem of starvation, which is caused by a combination of factors such as poverty worldwide, inadequacy of agricultural production, climate crisis, war and waste, is becoming an increasing serious problem. I hope that this situation, in which many people are physically and mentally affected, will come to an end one day and people will have the right to nutrition, which is one of their most basic rights. I would like to thank our instructor Asst. Prof Ezgi Şen who enabled us to be in this project and did not spare their help during the process.".
