Üsküdar University, Faculty of Health Sciences, Department of Social Work organized an event titled "Pre- and Post-EU Social Work Practices in Romania: Children under State Protection". In the event, where social work practices in Romania and the effects of the EU process were discussed, transformations in the child protection system and social service models were examined in detail.

Üsküdar University Advisor to the Rector, Head of the Department of Social Work of the Faculty of Health Sciences Prof. İsmail Barış, Prof. Abdullah Karatay, Asst. Prof. Daniela Macı and Asst. Prof. Dragos Darabaneanu attended the event held at Üsküdar University Çarşı Campus Emirnebi-1 conference hall.

In the program, which attracted great attention, the impact of Romania's accession process to the European Union on social service policies was discussed in detail.

Children Under State Protection's presentation focused on the transformations in child protection systems. At the same time, comprehensive information was provided to the participants about the history, current status and possible future developments of social work practices in Romania.

Social service models were discussed

At the event, which is an important source of information for students studying in the field of social work, the living conditions of children under state protection, the difficulties they face and the social service models developed in this field were discussed.
