Prof. Nevzat Tarhan: "The generation that can synthesize religion and science well will save the future"

President of Üsküdar University, Psychiatrist Prof. Nevzat Tarhan participated as a speaker in the event titled ‘Çamlıca Meetings on the Current Agenda' organized by İTO Marmara Anatolian Imam Hatip High School with the participation of many experts in their fields. Tarhan, who made a presentation titled 'Does the Human Being in the Triangle of Soul-Brain-Mind Give Clues about the Brain, the Soul?', expressed that the soul is a software that makes human beings human. Stating that the 21st century will be the 'Age of Wisdom', Tarhan underlined that those who are educated with the synthesis of religion and science will have a say in this age. Tarhan stated that "The generation of the future will be a generation with a computer in one hand and the Holy Quran in the other. A generation that can synthesize religion and science well will save the future. Generations that receive one-sided education will miss the age in many subjects.".

"The future generation will have a computer in one hand and the Holy Quran in the other" Stating that the 21st century will be the Age of Wisdom, Tarhan underlined that in this age, the youth who combine religion and science together will be at the forefront. Tarhan said that "The 20th century, when Eastern and Western culture merged, was the information age, and the 21st century will be, and it has to be, the age of wisdom. The generation of the future will be a generation with a computer in one hand and the Holy Quran in the other. Therefore, you will be one step ahead in this regard. A generation that knows the value of this well, that can synthesize the two well, and that can synthesize religion and science well will save the future. It seems that generations that receive one-sided education will miss the age in many subjects. In the 1990s, social media was found. Between 1990 and 1994, the Internet began to be commercialized, and then social isolation appeared. There is a study by University of Manchester in England on Lipping. Stating that Western societies are in a great loneliness due to their egocentric perspective, Tarhan said that it is meaningless to deal with the result without finding the reason. Tarhan said that "Narcissism; the proliferation of self-centered, self-important, superior types. The types who see themselves as earth gods are multiplying, and the proliferation of these types is not for the benefit of humanity. These types are self-interested types, often exploiting others. There is no peace in a world where these multiply. If there is a narcissist in the house, there will be no peace in that house. The narcissist always says let me do what I say. That person says I will eat the best part of the food, and I will sit in the best place. Narcissism is something that destroys a sense of justice. As a result, such people are not loved. However, they work hard to make themselves smart and capable, and therefore, they are not alone when they gain power, and when they lose power, they are alone. For this reason, the biggest problem of the West has been loneliness. Heading towards such a world, 3 young people under the age of 25 die of AIDS in the United States, 6 children commit suicide in one day, 342 children under the age of 18 are arrested for violence, 107 babies are born a day from adolescent mothers… It is every day... 20,833 children drop out of school, 6,042 children are arrested, 135,000 children take guns to school. This is the way the world is going, unless we fix the cause, dealing with the effect will not do us any good. First the diagnosis is required, then treatment and follow-up." .

Stating that Post-Materialist approaches support new ideas in the world, Tarhan said that world life is a simulation. Tarhan stated that "In 2014, two universities in the United States, Arizona and Columbia University, held the International Summit on Post-Materialist Science, Spirituality and Society. As a result, the Post-Materialist Science Manifesto was published. Materialism went bankruptcy, and this was an admission of that. In 2023, a serious game-changing Nobel Prize-winning discovery is being made. Quantum Entanglement has proven it. It showed the theory of relativity. It is not actually matter, it is time-based. This showed the relativity of the matter. There is no such thing as matter, but there is a worm theory. According to this theory, there is no such thing as matter, and everything is energy. We think that Earth life is real life, in fact Earth life is a simulation, we came here from the spirit world, and we will move to another energy band. The world is just like a simulation. Like the Metaverse. Exam simulation: We have entered, we are living, if we prefer the good, we will be good, and if we prefer the bad, we will be among the bad. Highlighting the soul program that makes human beings human, Tarhan said that Islam can be found with reasoning. Tarhan said: "Secularism says that the purpose of life is the pursuit of pleasure. ‘Abandon everything, supernatural forces will protect you’. Tolstoy says: ‘Life has a meaning that awaits me, that is inevitable and that can destroy death.’. However, the Abrahamic religions here say ‘Do not forget existence, do not lose hope, use your mind, and nothing is accidental.’. Abrahamic religions give the message that it is necessary to be able to look at life from this point of view in a test. The Prophet Abraham, looking at life in this way, looking at the heavenly bodies, finally says, ‘My God must be my creator.’. In this way, he finds Allah. There are 3 sources that introduce us to Allah: The Holy Qur'an, the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) and the book of the universe. When we read the book of the universe, we can find Allah in everything. Science is helping us with that right now. So, we can achieve this by using our minds. Where is the place of our soul? The brain secretes chemicals, however, there is consciousness above the brain: Quantum consciousness. The brain is an intermediary between the world of meaning and the world of matter. The quantum consciousness above our brain is just like a computer. The computer has electronic circuits like our brains. There is also a software, the software is removed from the computer, even 1 gram is not lost when we delete it. Like this, there is a soul program, which is a software in man, and that soul program makes human being. Every living thing has its own small program, but human beings are born psychologically premature. As soon as a duck hatches, it immediately begins to swim. A person starts walking at the age of 1 and becomes self-managing at the age of 15. People have to improve themselves, they have to develop by learning, they can develop themselves socially.".

Stating that there is a moral collapse in the world, Tarhan said that the 21st century will turn into the wisdom of the Qur'an. Tarhan said that "There is social narcissism in the world right now. There are 2 billion people in Africa who do not have access to clean water. Migration is not caused by poverty, but the reason for the migration from Africa and South America is that people are passing through their own countries to relieve injustice and lawlessness, and on the other hand, people are passing to relieve their concerns about the future. Therefore, what will solve social peace is the end of narcissism. Narcissism is something that disrupts social life. As this increase, humanity will go downwards. When we look at the prophecy, the prophets had their greatest struggle against selfishness. If you look at the religion of Islam and look at the Sufi teachings in all of Islam, it all starts with its exquisite upbringing. Educating oneself, taming one's desires is actually the greatest progress and maturation for a person. The reason Indonesia is Muslim is because of good morality. For this reason, the most beautiful method of representation of Islam is tawheed. The conference is representation, not preaching. When we set a good example, when good morality shows good results, the whole world needs this good morality. That is why we call the 21st century the age of wisdom because of the wisdom of the Qur'an. We will see this, maybe we will not see it, but I hope you will see it.".

"The day is near when Westerners will say Islam out loud"

Stating that there is a search for truth all over the world, Tarhan said that he foresees that the Islamic perspective will increase in the Western world. Tarhan said that "At a time when there is so much truth, I think that the day is approaching when brilliant minds from the West, not from the Islamic world, will come out and say Islam out loud. There is a serious tendency to seek truth, and the current Western philosophy, that is, materialist philosophy, does not satisfy. There is a new search. All that is done in telling the monotheistic truth of truths is that Hegel has a saying: ‘What is reasonable is real; that which is real is reasonable.'. There is nothing in the Qur'an that is not reasonable. Some ask about fate and the hereafter. You cannot tell a person about fate and the hereafter until man's conception of God has been restored. I believe it is similar to the fact that you cannot do higher math without basic math. A person who does not know the tirade ruler cannot know the integral. Similarly, when you explain the vision of God in your mind in accordance with the belief in tawheed, in accordance with reason, the subject of the hereafter in the Holy Qur'an and the subject of miracles turn out to be all reasonable. First of all, there needs to be a vision of Allah in accordance with the belief in tawheed.".
