“Respect for the Elderly Week” has not been forgotten also this year

Üsküdar University Institute of Social Sciences Instructor İdil Arasan Doğan participated as a speaker in the "Respect for the Elderly Week" program which is jointly carried out by Kadıköy and Şişli Municipality. Special events were held in the 'Respect for the Elderly Week' program held by Kadıköy and Şişli Municipality every year for the elderly aged 65 and over. The events held in different venues between 21-27 March, were met with great interest by the elderly.

Üsküdar University Institute of Social Sciences Instructor İdil Arasan Doğan gave a seminar within the scope of the events held at Kadıköy Municipality Kozyatağı Cultural Center. Instructor İdil Arasan Doğan made his presentation on 'Aging and Aging Psychology' and discussed the effects of the psychoeducation studies given to the families of elderly individuals and the employees of the relevant centers. Moreover, Instructor İdil Arasan Doğan, who played an active role in Şişli Municipality Age Friendly Municipality Workshop, shared on the subject of 'care', which stands out among the elderly psychology and elderly problems. Doğan expressed the remarkable issues in intergenerational interaction.

  Ages and changes in aging, problems, diseases and positive interventions related to good aging were discussed in the program, which was carried out with the active participation of the members of the Board of Directors of the Alzheimer's Association of Turkey.
