Üsküdar University has announced that the book Al-Mizan: A Convenient for the Earth, a global guide based on Islam's teachings about the environment, is now available in eight languages worldwide. The book has been translated into English, French, Arabic, Turkish, Bahasa Indonesian, Urdu, and Swahili, reaching readers across the globe.

As part of this important initiative, the university proudly embraces being part of a global movement that is environmentally conscious. Efforts are also underway to translate the book into Bahasa Malaysia, Bosnian, and Kurdish. This step is considered a significant milestone in expanding the reach of Al-Mizan and spreading its message.

The Goal: Bringing Communities Together to Solve Environmental Problems

Al-Mizan offers a profound Islamic perspective on environmental ethics, emphasizing principles of balance, justice, and compassion that shape our relationship with the natural world. The work aims to bring together communities of different faiths around common values and produce solutions to environmental issues.

By making Al-Mizan accessible in as many languages as possible, the goal is to create a universal guide that inspires ecological responsibility and interfaith dialogue. Together with the Laudato Si (Pope Francis' encyclical on "Caring for Our Common Home"), this work presents a vision based on justice and harmony for a sustainable future and calls on everyone to take action.

A Call to Muslim Academics and Translators!

Üsküdar University is inviting Muslim academics and translators to contribute to the project by translating Al-Mizan into Spanish, Russian, and other languages.

Proud to support this meaningful effort and contribute to the vision of creating a sustainable world for future generations, Üsküdar University has called for collective action by adopting the principles offered by Al-Mizan for a more just, compassionate, and sustainable world.
