Prof. Nazife Güngör: "In such works, we can only get somewhere together"
Emphasizing that teamwork is very important as well as experiencing the program for the first time, Prof. Nazife Güngör stated that "You have been a very strong team with the Faculty of Communication. Such processes are challenging. You have experienced it for the first time, but I really congratulate you all. It was very nice, and the result is amazing. In such works, only work can be done together, we can come to a place together."
Cahit Yavuz: "We know that it is the first time in Türkiye, and we believe it is the first in the world"
Mentioning that the "Sports Journalists Compete" program is for the first time in Türkiye, FotoSpor General Coordinator Cahit Yavuz stated that "When we first came here, a lot of things were uncertain. Including our champion... It was clear that we were going to go through a lot during this process. The way your school acted, the way the educators approached us, everything was very exciting for us, and we really got a lot more of that in the process. As FotoSpor, we received very close attention and guidance from all our educators. All material and moral support was in front of us. We tried to support as much as we could as a team. It was a really good process for us. We know that it is the first time in Türkiye, and we believe it is the first in the world. From the beginning to the end, we first made a rating in the newspapers one by one. After making the newspapers, we gave the children's points. Later, points were given to the news of our friends who made these newspapers, and after all these were collected, there were opinion points before the final. After these opinion scores, they also participated in the scoring of their friends they worked with, and even our server and driver were scored in a very wide scope. We made this scoring system deliberately. Let me give an example from the volleyball world championship. In the volleyball world championship, the scoring systems have changed. There is a similar score in this. We reach the champion by considering different evaluations from multiple points. That is what we did, and in the end, dear Elif became the champion. Now we are celebrating and congratulating her."
Prof. Süleyman İrvan: "We won Elif as a sports journalist"
Mentioning that the competition was an interesting experience, Üsküdar University Advisor to the Rector Prof. Süleyman İrvan expressed that "It is been a really interesting experience for us, as well. When we look at it from the point of view of self-criticism or self-evaluation, we actually did not put that much emphasis on sports journalism. When this suggestion came from you, we wondered if it could be. In fact, for example, we have seen this in applications. Because very few students applied for sports journalism. We did not know how this competition would play out. There will be a competition; however, we were thinking about how it will work. It was saved really well, thank you very much to FotoSpor. Although I could not take part in the juries here, I was able to compete in the last jury. Our friends have made very good contributions. It was also an experience for our students. However, most importantly, we won Elif, as a sports journalist. I hope she will show herself in this area."
Assoc. Prof. Esennur Sirer: "She learned and experienced journalism in the real sense"
Stating that the students participating in the competition both learned and experienced journalism in the real sense, Head of the Department of Radio, Television and Cinema Assoc. Prof. Esennur Sirer expressed that "It was a journalism department project. We would like to thank our professors Esra. Elif actually knew the back stage as a TV personality. She really learned and experienced journalism. Of course, thanks to you and your professors, we thank you very much with this regard."
Assoc. Prof. Gül Esra Atalay: "What they learn here will carry them to the future"
Mentioning that there is no winner or loser in this program and that the participating students will owe something to this competition in their future careers, Assoc. Prof. Gül Esra Atalay said that "When we first heard about this project, we thought it would be a good thing, but we did not know how it would develop and where it would lead. Indeed, beyond what we imagined, it was like an educational process that actually taught the student something with its well-thought-out details and every step. And as you said, if we think in terms of the audience, this project was also an educational pillar for the society. Therefore, it has turned into a project that we are very happy with as an educational institution in every respect. We would like to thank the entire FotoSpor team. Elif won, but all the students who competed were very valuable. They all have very beautiful impressions in my eyes. I think all of them will owe something to this place in their careers. I think what they learn from here will carry them into the future. In this respect, it is also important, that is, if we think of it not only as winning and losing, but also as an experience, an education process, they have actually gained something."
Sports Announcer Derya Oruçoğlu: "It was actually a novice process for all of us"
Mentioning that the program is a novice process for everyone and mentioning that this novice is an enjoyable process, Sports Announcer Derya Oruçoğlu expressed that "It was a novice process for all of us. No matter how much we broadcasted, none of us had ever done a contest program. At least I did not. That is why the team was really enjoyable. She was very supportive. I would like to thank Mrs. Atalay, Mr. İrvan, Mrs.Sirer, and all of you. The fellow students from the school were also very sweet. They gave me morale every day. It was a really enjoyable process for us. I am glad we came. We also made good friendships. I think we have not only done business, but also established good friendships. Thank you."
Elif Aksu: "I never imagined that I would be the first"

I put in a lot of effort, and I could not have imagined that I would be the first because I am a first-year student. Of course, I am very happy that my efforts have paid off. I would also like to thank everyone who has been with me during this process. Therefore, I do not have much to say. I learned a lot. Hopefully it will be even better. My professors were also very supportive in every subject. Our judges were also very supportive. They helped me with everything. I did not expect this. I did not think I would get this far.
