‘Yalda Night’ in Üsküdar

The ‘Yalda Night’ event, organized by the Üsküdar University International Relations Directorate, was held with great participation. The event celebrated Yalda Night that is the longest night of winter in Persian culture and Central Asian traditions, showcasing colorful scenes. President of Üsküdar University Prof. Nevzat Tarhan, conveyed his greetings to the students via a video message, saying: “I believe the memories students gather will yield beautiful results that contribute to the friendship between Iran and Turkey, our brotherhood, and even Islamic unity.” Participants also enjoyed traditional Iranian sweets during the event.

The event, which drew significant interest, took place at the Main Campus Nermin Tarhan Conference Hall.

Prof. Nevzat Tarhan's Message

President of Üsküdar University Prof. Nevzat Tarhan participated in the event through a video message. In his message, Tarhan expressed that “I extend my greetings and warm regards to all Iranian youth who are both our guests and students at Üsküdar University. I believe the memories they gather here will contribute to the friendship between Iran and Türkiye, our brotherhood, and even Islamic unity, producing beautiful outcomes. I congratulate all the youth.”

Enjoying Traditional Iranian Sweets

To create a fun atmosphere, interactive games, music, and dances were performed. While participants savored traditional Iranian sweets, the event attracted great interest from Iranian students, Turkish students, and other international students.

Highlighting the Importance of Cultural Exchange

The Yalda Night, which ended with a DJ performance, once again highlighted the importance of cultural exchange and celebrating diverse cultures together.

Üsküdar University continues to promote intercultural interaction through such events, enabling students to learn more about different cultures.
