Prof. İlham Miraç made the following statements: "Humanity hoped that the twenty-first century would herald a new era of global cooperation. However, at the end of the first quarter, we saw that this unfortunately did not happen. Racism and xenophobia, inequalities and terrible human rights violations are on the rise. In fundamental respects, the world has been turned upside down and is once again in danger. The risks cannot be underestimated, as the threat is a deadly war on a global scale. Because the conflicts have deepened, and new dangers have emerged. Global concerns about nuclear weapons are at their highest level since the cold war, and what's more, climate change is moving massive and fast. Today, we are committed to making our generous planet more livable, fair, peaceful and sustainable, regardless of race, color, religion, language, belief, culture and country. We want to remind you of the values that have been neglected."
