Specialist Psychologist Necmettin Gürsoy, who previously worked at NPİSTANBUL Hospital for many years, wrote a book about the traumas experienced after the earthquake. Gürsoy presented his book titled "Everything Reminds Us of It", which consists of interviews with earthquake victims, to President of Üsküdar University Prof. Nevzat Tarhan. Expressing that people working and living in the earthquake zone remember that moment every day and every moment, Gürsoy pointed out that a social memory can be created with what is experienced and shared for this purpose. Underlining that although it is very difficult to remember and express the events experienced, it is just as valuable to record them and to make notes for the future, Gürsoy also mentioned that there will be an emotional discharge, relaxation and relief.

Specialist Psychologist Necmettin Gürsoy presented his book "Everything Reminds Us of It" to President of Üsküdar University Prof. Nevzat Tarhan. After the disaster of the century, which took place in Kahramanmaraş on February 6 and caused devastating consequences in 11 provinces, Specialist Psychologist Necmettin Gürsoy published his interviews with earthquake victims in a book after the earthquake.

In his book in which he wrote about the traumas experienced, Gürsoy mentioned that they attach great importance to the expression of feelings and thoughts and that they carried out this work for that purpose.

In the book he signed for Prof. Nevzat Tarhan, Dr. Necmettin Gürsoy expressed that "I dedicate this study to the memory of those who lost their lives in the earthquake that occurred on February 06, 2023. May their souls be blessed and may them rest in peace. Yours sincerely."

"The history of mankind is full of reconstructions and efforts as well as destruction and disasters. On the night of February 6, we all woke up to a great disaster. There was a big earthquake and we lost our relatives. Our houses were destroyed, we experienced great dramas...

The title on the cover, "Everything Reminds Us of It" is originally a lyric (Everything Reminds Me of You). We always thought that those who fell in love would experience this... But we have seen in this earthquake that we are experiencing the same things... Especially people who work and live in the earthquake zone remember that moment every day and every moment... For this purpose, we can create a social memory with our experiences and sharing. That is why we attach great importance to expressing feelings and thoughts and it is very valuable to us. Although it is very difficult for all of us to remember and express what we have witnessed and experienced, it is just as meaningful and valuable to record and make notes for the future. At the same time, there will also be an emotional release, relaxation and relief... We conducted this study for this purpose.”
