Üsküdar University Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics students achieved another success. Within the scope of the "2209-A University Students Research Projects Support Program" carried out by the TÜBİTAK Scientist Support Programs Directorate (BİDEB), 5 more projects of the Üsküdar University TRGENMER team focused on "Cancer and Fanzor Genetic Engineering" were entitled to be supported.

5 new projects will be supported

Within the scope of the "2209-A University Students Research Projects Support Program", 5 more projects of the TRGENMER team focused on "Cancer and Fanzor Genetic Engineering" will be supported.

Among the projects carried out under the consultancy of Asst. Prof. Cihan Taştan are as follows:

- The project titled "Transcriptome Analysis in Cells Knocked-Out ALYREF and PIN1 Genes by Crispr-Cas9 Method and Leukocytes Isolated from SLE Patients", led by Esma Özcanan, was entitled to be supported. The researchers of the project were Ceren Yıldırım, Onur Mert Ünaldı, and Aysena Nurgaz.

- The project titled "Investigation of Cancer Resistance by Deleting Tumor-Associated p53, HSPA8 and PD1 Genes in the Primary Human T Cell Line with Fanzor, a Eukaryotic Programmable RNA Guided Endonuclease", led by Elif Yaren Öztop, was also entitled to be supported. Selin Nur Gül, Nisanur Yılmaz and Canan Solmaz were among the project researchers.

- The project titled "Estimating the Swarm of Cancer Cells with Hidden Barcode Using the Molecular German Tank Problem Approach", which was led by Tutku Ören, was entitled to be supported. The researchers of the project were Berra İduğ, Sude Runç and Azra Aşkın.

- The project titled "Knock Out of Angiotensin and Bradykinin Receptors with High Similarity to Fanzor Protein with Crispr-Cas and Investigation of Their Effects", which was carried out by Eylül Sıla Dok, was entitled to be supported. Hakan Çelen, Bahar Karmili and Semih Türkmen were among the project researchers.

- The project titled "Recognition of STR Loci Accepted by CODIS in Human DNA in the CRISPR / Cas12a System, a Genome Editing and Editing Tool, and Determination of Motif Repetition Number", led by Menekşe Azra Balcı, was also entitled to be supported. The researchers of the project were Yağmur Çaylak, Tayyar Emin Öztürk and Ahmet Buğra Aktaş.
