TRT Sound Designer Erim Savaş was the guest of the event. Erim Savaş, who has been the sound designer of numerous commercials for sixteen years, many TV series that have been at the top of the rating lists such as Melekler Korusun, Muhteşem Yüzyıl, Sakarya Fırat, Fatih Harbiye and many feature films, informed on his profession. While emphasizing that the training on voice is insufficient, Erim Savaş also pointed out that the voice is always the second partner of the project.

The moderator of the event, which was held at Üsküdar University Faculty of Communication TV training studio, was Department of Radio, Television and Cinema Zafer Sevener. Head of the Department of Radio, Television and Cinema Assoc. Prof. Esennur Sirer also attended the event.

"The most important element of sound is to record it on the spot and naturally"

Pointing out that it is important to know what sound really is, what it serves, and to get sound on the spot, TRT Sound Designer Erim Savaş said that "I do not think there is training in sound. The sound is always in the background, except for the visual and the director. The important thing is that we first need to find out what the sound is taken for and why it is so important. Sound is the second partner of a project, with a structure next to the image. Apart from the visual feast, sound is the only element that continues to be permanent in your perception even when you close your eyes momentarily in every project you watch. Universally around the world, on-site recording of sound, that is, on-site reception of external sounds and effects, has made people more accurate, more real, more real. It has become the most important element in today's festivals. The most important element of sound is that it is recorded on the spot and naturally. We can never answer that we will add the voices that we cannot get in our working life later. Sound is always the second partner of a project because we know that sound is very important as well as image."

"What is important  is your ability to test the sound"

Mentioning that it is important to get to know and test microphones, Savaş expressed that "In dynamic microphones, the explosion of letters, that is, the distortion of the sound, does not occur much because such dynamic microphones have an insulation and sponge in themselves. With conventional microphones, the important thing is your ability to test the sound here. Before you record, you need to test your microphone at the level it will blur. In particular, does the wind enter, or does the air coming out of the mouth hit the microphone? This is a very important situation."

"My first mistake has always taught me necessary lessons"

Underlining that professionalism is over time by constantly making mistakes, Savaş made the following remarks "Professionalism happens by making mistakes all the time. By making mistakes, you find out where and what not to make mistakes. I am very glad to be here today because I have made a lot of mistakes when I'm getting sound; however, every time I make a mistake, I have never made the same mistake twice. My first mistake has always taught me necessary lessons because if you repeat the second mistake in the same way, there is a problem. That's why you need to experience it as much as possible."

The event ended with a group photo shoot after the question-and-answer session.
