'Beşiktaş Parent Academies' event was held in cooperation with Üsküdar University and Beşiktaş District Directorate of National Education. Dean of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences Prof. Deniz Ülke Arıboğan met with parents within the scope of the event. Arıboğan, who made a presentation titled "Cultivating Good in the Desert of Evil", drew attention to the concepts of good and evil. Arıboğan stated that social goodness will be parallel to the goodness that the new generation will spread.

The event, which was attended by more than 200 parents, was held in the conference hall of Kabataş Boys' High School.

Beşiktaş District Director of National Education Sedat Işık, Kabataş Boys' High School Principal Dr. Muharrem Bayrak and Üsküdar University Educational Institutions and Guidance Services Manager Ertuğrul Tut participated in the event.

Starting her speech by drawing attention to the words of Charles Dickens, Üsküdar University Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences Dean Prof. Deniz Ülke Arıboğan stated that "Charles Dickens says, 'It was the best of times, it was the worst of times, it was the age of wisdom, it was the age of foolishness, it was the epoch of belief, it was the epoch of incredulity, it was the season of Light, it was the season of Darkness, it was the spring of hope, it was the winter of despair, we had everything before us, we had nothing before us, we were all going direct to Heaven, we were all going direct the other way--in short, the period was so far like the present period that some of its noisiest authorities insisted on its being received, for good or for evil, in the superlative degree of comparison only.'"

"Homeland: mother's lap, family home"

Pointing out that the approaches of parents are important, Arıboğan talked about where good and evil exist and how to benefit the country. Arıboğan stated that "The land of the homeland is the mother's lap and family home.”

Prof. Deniz Ülke Arıboğan stated that kindness should be removed from individuality and socialized and explained the concepts of good and evil to parents with current examples.

A consumption-oriented approach has been introduced now...

Drawing attention to the historical development of humanity, Prof. Deniz Ülke Arıboğan emphasized that the world has come to a different point with industry 4.0 with the development of the economic process. Arıboğan expressed that there has been a transition from a production-oriented economy to a consumption-oriented approach.

After the question-and-answer session, Beşiktaş District Director of National Education Sedat Işık presented a sapling donation certificate to Prof. Deniz Ülke Arıboğan, and the event ended with a photo shoot.
