The opening program of the 'I am Young Türkiye' social innovation project supported by the Ministry of Youth and Sports in partnership with Üsküdar University, KASTOB, Antalya Governorship, Antalya Provincial Directorate of Youth and Sports, Beyaz Baston Derneği (White Cane Association) and İLKE-Der was held. The participants gathered with great enthusiasm and excitement in the project, which aims to highlight the potential of young people for 'Young Türkiye' in the vision of 2071.

Project cycle management training will be given by academicians who are experts in their fields

Project cycle management training will be given by academicians who are experts in their fields on project ideas that will increase the welfare of Türkiye, which was set out with the slogan 'We are looking for 80 young people who will prepare the Republic of Türkiye for its second century'. In the social innovation model project called "My Values, Tradition and Science: I am Young Türkiye"; Üsküdar University Project Development Director and Young Minds Academy Application and Research Center Director Asst. Prof. Nebiye Yaşar attended as an academic advisor and project cycle advisor.

The ceremony started with a meddah show

The ceremony, organized by Antalya Provincial Directorate of Youth and Sports Muratpaşa Youth Center Director Süleyman Yıldız and his team, started with a meddah (a traditional Turkish storyteller) show. Then, the introductory film of the project, which was prepared by Akdeniz University Faculty of Communication faculty member Assoc. Prof. Mustafa Sami who took part in the project as an academic advisor and researcher together with his team, was shown. The film, which emphasized that our young people will carry this homeland, which was rebuilt from the ashes with hardship, to the future, was enthusiastically applauded in the hall.

The opening speech of the ceremony was made by Antalya Youth Sports Provincial Director Yavuz Gürhan. Later, KASTOB President Nevzat Duyar had the floor and stated that the Black Sea Confederation of Non-Governmental Organizations (KASTOB), which brings together more than two thousand non-governmental organizations, will always stand by young people in such a meaningful project, and concluded his speech with the poem titled 'I would like to'.

Information was given about the outline of the project

Ahsen Yılmaz, who is the youth leader of the project, informed about the outline of the project, which will provide project cycle management training to young people who have a project idea about Türkiye's important problems, and stated that they are waiting for the applications of young people who are interested in the study. With the motivation of combining tradition and the present, the Antalya Muratpaşa Youth Center orchestra, which took the stage with local costumes, presented a musical feast by singing our folk songs with a modern interpretation with the soloist of Ahsen Yılmaz, the youth leader of the project. The mini concert of the Antalya Beyaz Baston Association music group, one of the stakeholders of the project, received a standing ovation in the hall.

All activities within the scope of the project will be turned into a documentary

Provincial Director of Social Projects of the Governorship of Antalya Süleyman Uysal stated that the power of civil society is directly related to the welfare of the society and that our state has always been a supporter of such social innovation projects. Akdeniz University Faculty of Communication faculty member Assoc. Prof. Mustafa Sami Mencet stated that our Republic was established with extraordinary sacrifices and that it is very important for us to convey both the difficulties experienced and our century-old achievements to our young people. He stated that all the activities to be carried out within the scope of the project will be turned into a documentary and will serve as an archive for future generations.

Director of the Young Minds Academy Application and Research Center (GBA) Asst. Prof. Nebiye Yaşar, on the other hand, started her speech with the importance that President of Üsküdar University Prof. Nevzat Tarhan attaches to social innovation model projects and young people, emphasizing the importance of projects in the social innovation model carried out together with young people and stated that these projects are a model that aims to create innovative solutions to social problems. Yaşar stated that this model brings together stakeholders and young people from different disciplines and provides empowerment from various perspectives, and that social innovation projects generally prioritize sustainability and social impact, which contributes to long-term and permanent changes. Emphasizing Prof. Nevzat Tarhan's words that the projects support young people to express themselves, develop their leadership skills and assume their social responsibilities, she stated that youth play a key role in the future of the country.

It will be presented to the delegations after the pre-selection

Within the scope of the project, young people who express their project ideas in the application form will receive project cycle management training at the camp of the Antalya Provincial Directorate of Youth and Sports after the pre-selection by the jury and will present their projects to the delegations including public managers and businessmen.
