“Loneliness in Business Life”

The subject of 'Loneliness in Business Life' will be discussed at the International Loneliness Symposium, which will be organized for the fifth time this year by Üsküdar University. The symposium, which will be held online on Saturday, December 16, will bring together invited speakers from Türkiye and abroad to make contributions from different fields.

 

 

The loneliness experiences of people from various professions in different countries will be discussed from an interdisciplinary perspective in the International Loneliness Symposium, which will be held by Üsküdar University for the fifth time this year and the main theme of which is 'Loneliness in Business Life'.

The symposium, which will be held online on Saturday, December 16, will bring together invited speakers from Türkiye and abroad to make contributions from different fields.

In the symposium, the loneliness experiences of people from various professions in different countries will be discussed from an interdisciplinary perspective. Each speaker will present important discussions and raise important questions by addressing loneliness in the context of business life from their field of work and from their own perspective.

The opening speeches of the symposium will be made by Chairman of the Symposium Organizing Committee Prof. Ebulfez Süleymanlı, Dean of Üsküdar University Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences Prof. Deniz Ülke Arıboğan, Rector of Üsküdar University Prof. Nazife Güngör, President of Üsküdar University Prof. Nevzat Tarhan.

In the first session of the symposium, Assoc. Prof. Cem Tutar from Üsküdar University will discuss 'Information Technologies and the Ethos of Business Life in the New Capitalism: A Story of a Performance Cult', Dr. Tansel Tercan, Dr. Nurfer Tercan and L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University will discuss 'The Struggle of Loneliness: Exploring Loneliness in the Business Life of Tourism', Prof. Gali Galiev and Assoc. Prof. Zinira Abrarova will discuss 'Loneliness Caused by Job Loss: The Case of Russia'. Furthermore, Prof. Ebulfez Süleymanlı, Assist. Prof. Nihan Kalkendeler Özdin and Aslı Hale Kılıç will present 'Loneliness at Work in Türkiye: Research Results'.

Those who will give a speech in the second session of the symposium are as follows: Yusuf Özkan Özburun with the presentation titled 'Be a Universe for Yourself When You Are Alone!', Hale Sülüş Örenç 'The Loneliness of School Principals', Hülya Mutlu with the presentation titled 'Human Relationship as a Psychological Capital Investment', Kader Güven Keskin and Merve Akkız Altun with the presentations titled '2nd Prize in Boss Companies in Türkiye' and The Loneliness of the Generation', In the Third Session, those who will give a speech are as follows: Assoc. Prof. Güzel Tokareva with the presentation titled 'The Loneliness of White-Collar Migrant Workers', Asif Bayramov with the presentation titled 'The Relationship between Loneliness and Alienation in Business Life', Milana Dzhidzhoeva with the presentation titled 'The Loneliness of the Entrepreneur in Russia: In Business Life and Beyond', Ashimova Aigerim, Ghaziabad Institute of Management Technology Vaishali Jadon with the presentation titled "Understanding the Dimensions and Organizational Consequences of Loneliness in the Workplace: The Case of India", Lev Gumilyev and Zaida Kunanbayeva with the presentation titled 'Successful and Lonely Businesswomen: The Case of Kazakhstan'.
