Rector Prof. Nazife Güngör made important trips and contacts in Azerbaijan
Üsküdar University Rector Prof. Nazife Güngör made her first international official visits and contacts in Azerbaijan after her assignment as Rector. Güngör, who had a busy visit program, signed cooperation protocols with Baku State University, Azerbaijan State Medical University, Azerbaijan State University of Culture and Arts, was the live broadcast guest of Azerbaijani national TV channels, and made important evaluations about Türkiye and Üsküdar University.
After taking office, the first female Rector of Üsküdar University, Prof. Nazife Güngör, made her first official contacts in the international arena in Azerbaijan. During her 4-day busy visit to Azerbaijan, Güngör contacted many official institutions and organizations and held cooperation interviews.

Prof. Nazife Güngör and Üsküdar University International Registration and Communication Manager Dilbar Aliyeva visited the Azerbaijani press council as part of the visit. Güngör met with the Chairman of the council Rashad Majid, and Chairman Majid gave detailed information about the activities of the institution. Stating that the council investigates and decides on the complaints of the members of the society about the media as part of its main task, Majid pointed out that the Council of Ministers always gives priority to international relations. Majid underlined that the contacts established with the brotherly Turkish media and journalistic organizations have also great importance in these relations.

Prof. Nazife Güngör thanked Majid for his hospitality and said that it was also important for her to gather with the Azerbaijani media. Expressing her contentment to be in Baku, Güngör stated that as Üsküdar University, they attach importance to international experience with their academic, administrative and expert staff. Güngör talked about the studies carried out in this field as a university. She also stressed that work could be carried out with the Press Council to implement joint projects.

Sharing about the studies and international student profile of Üsküdar University, Güngör said, "More than 5 thousand of our 24 thousand students are international students from many countries of the world. 200 of these students are Azerbaijani students. Üsküdar University is Türkiye's one and only thematic university in the field of behavioral sciences and health. We aim to open the Azerbaijan office of our university in the near future.".

Prof. Nazife Güngör also participated in the Azerbaijan Printing Council within the scope of her visits and contacts with Azerbaijan. Reshad Majid informed Güngör and her companions about the council.

Prof. Nazife Güngör, who was in Azerbaijan with a very busy program, also took part in the biggest TV channels of Azerbaijan with her statements.
