Türker Tekin Ergüzel among Üsküdar researchers, performed their presentation on the works they carry out within the scope of the summit.

There is cancer and neurotechnology on the agenda of science leaders…

Under chairpersonship of Prof. Nevzat Tarhan, Dr. Babak Kateb on behalf of ME+ Brain Initiative, Society for Brain Mapping and Therapeutics (SBMT) and Sandip Chatterjee on behalf of India Brain Initiative, Dr. Asra Al Fauzi ve Sunder Foundation President Keerthy Sunder on behalf of Asia- Pacific made their opening remarks within the scope of N20. Titles of Cancer Treatment, Prevention of Suicide, Neurotechnology, Prevention of Addiction and Wearable Technology were on agenda of scientists.

Works carried out in Türkiye drew attention…

Moderator Prof. Nevzat Tarhan with his presentation titled “Theta Burst and Neuromodulation Applications" and Assoc. Prof. Türker Tekin Ergüzel with his presentation titled "AI Based Neuroscience Applications and NP Model" shared their works within the scope of summit which had wide press coverage.

While his neurotechnology focused works draw attention of international researchers, Prof. Nevzat Tarhan pointed out neuromodulation techniques, and how rTMS affect electrical activity. Tarhan discussed the use and side effects on depression, OCD treatment and comorbid psychiatric diseases. He shared protocols of NP Brain Hospital on addiction and rTMS theta burst and treatments supported by neuronavigation to researchers from 9 different countries and viewers via Society for Brain Mapping and Therapeutics (SBMT) YouTube channel simultaneously.

Diseases classification model supported with Artificial Intelligence…

Moreover, Assoc. Prof. Türker Ergüzel performed presentation on first version “NP Model” of Artificial supported diseases classification model designed for NP Brain Hospital and patent application of which was done by Prof. Nevzat Tarhan.  Designed with LSTM, CNN design that are used instead of traditional classification algorithms which are inadequate especially with increased data resolution and size, the diseases classification model for OCD – Healthy Control group and Bipolar – Healthy Control groups simulated with external validation procedures, was shared with researchers.

Tarhan: “It makes us happy to be reference address with our works in our country”

Works focused on Neurotechnology by Üsküdar University and NP Brain Hospital drew great attention by researchers and Tarhan stated that it made them feel glad and they are also glad that our country becomes a reference address for works in this field. Tarhan was presented with an award.
