Health support provided to thousands of people in Burundi

In the "Burundi Oral and Dental Health" project, organized with the support of Association of the Friends of All Africa (TADD) and the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA), Üsküdar University Faculty of Dentistry, Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Asst. Prof. Müzeyyen Seda Altop took part as the Medical Director. The project, hosted by the wife of the President of Burundi Angelina Ndaishimiye, and the Burundi embassy, attracted great attention from national radio, television channels and newspapers. 700 inspections were carried out within the scope of the project.

The medical team that went from Türkiye to Burundi was welcomed by Türkiye's Ambassador to Bujumbura Alp Işıklı and the daughter of the President of Burundi Evariste Ndayishimiye Evariste Ndayishimiye, and the Director of the Bonne Action Foundation, which is also a partner organization of TADD, Navie Quetsia.

700 inspections were carried out within the scope of the project

The medical team also took with them a large number of medical supplies and medicines to be used as part of the screenings and treatments. Within the scope of the project, 700 examinations, 1500 tooth extractions, simple dental treatments and fluoride application were made to children.
