Uskudar University welcomed the new academic year

Uskudar University 2021-2022 Academic Year was opened with a ceremony. The first course of the new academic year was given by Dr. Osman Coskun, Member of the Scientific, Technology and Innovation Policy Board of the T.C Presidency. Dr. Osman Coskun addressed the students with the presentation "The Future of Professions and Education in Digital Transformation (Industry 4.0 and Society 5.0).' Coskun pointed to the importance of the criticism expressed by Prof. Dr. Nevzat Tarhan and said that the first condition for progress is to see criticism as a gift. Prof. Dr. Nevzat Tarhan, Founding Rector and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Uskudar University, stated that they want to produce projects related to deep learning by saying that 'The new space of science is the brain'.

Dr. Osman Coskun taught the first lesson of the new academic year

Uskudar University, which started as the first thematic university of our country in the field of behavioral sciences and health and pioneered many academic studies in different fields including medicine, health, science and technology, opened the 2021-2022 Academic Year with a ceremony. Psychiatrist Prof. Dr. Nevzat Tarhan, Founding Rector and Chairman of the Executive Board of Uskudar University, gave the opening speech of the ceremony held at Nermin Tarhan Conference Hall, Uskudar University Central Campus.

Prof. Dr. Nevzat Tarhan: “Covid has taught us to re-query our philosophy of life”

Prof. Dr. Nevzat Tarhan stated that the crisis during the Covid period was overcome both nationwide and as a university with minimal damage and by learning things as; “The virus has become more controllable. We can now do the lessons by taking part in 60 percent of the class online, which we call the phygital system. Covid has taught us many things. In fact, it taught us to requery our philosophy of life, showing that some things will not be the same and that we need to create new normals. In the meantime, we've seen how important science is and what a guide it is to us.”
