2020-2021 Academic Year Phygital Opening Ceremony Held

Noting that there are lessons to be learned from the pandemic period, stating that this period should be turned into an opportunity, Prof. Dr. Nevzat Tarhan said, “The pandemic period teaches us many things. An opportunity to get to know more about ourselves. An opportunity to improve our ability to stay calm under stress, against adversity. An opportunity to learn about stress management”.

Lecturer of the Ministry of Health Coronavirus Scientific Committee, Hacettepe University Public Health Department and Deputy Director of the Vaccine Institute, who gave the first lesson of the new academic year Prof. Dr. Levent Akın said also, that pandemics will only be completed through vaccination. Stating that 12 vaccine studies are continuing in more than 180 countries in the world, Prof. Dr. Levent Akın stated that the studies of the inactive virus vaccine are about to be completed in our country, and they anticipate its implementation in December. Noting that they estimate that 1 million doses will come to Turkey in December, Akin also said that the inactive virus vaccine is not changing the genetic structure.

Uskudar University 2020-2021 Academic Year Phygital Opening Ceremony was held online within the framework of pandemic measures. Prof. Dr. Nevzat Tarhan, Founding Rector of Uskudar University, stated in his opening speech that the opening ceremony of the 2020 – 2021 Academic Year was held in the trace of the pandemic and added that the pandemic seriously affected everyone.
