"Management of Obsessive Compulsive Disorder in Working Life" is on the shelves with a foreword by Prof. Tarhan...
The study titled "Management of Obsessive Compulsive Disorder in Working Life", the foreword of which was written by President of Üsküdar University and Psychiatrist Prof. Nevzat Tarhan, hit the shelves with the contributions of experts in the field. In the foreword of the book, Tarhan gave information about obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) and stated that he hoped that the book would touch the lives of many people.
Prof. Nevzat Tarhan wrote the foreword of the book titled "Management of Obsessive Compulsive Disorder in Working Life", written by Dr. Salih Ercan and Assoc. Prof. Oğuz Tan, and published by Nobel Publications.
"There was such a need for this work"
In the first lines of the preface of the book, Prof. Nevzat Tarhan expressed that "There are a lot of scientific publications and a lot of studies on obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD). However, this is the first time that a non-medical professional has addressed the issue from his point of view. There was such a need for this study, and it could provide useful information. Indeed, this book is valuable in terms of approaching the subject from a different angle with a lot of effort."
"A person cannot be their own doctor, but they can help themselves"
Accordingly, Prof. Tarhan also stated in the preface of the book: "As it is known, OCD is a disorder with biological and psychological aspects. A person cannot be their own doctor, but they can help themselves because especially in the advanced stage, the brain areas responsible for thinking repetition are normally like pathways in this disorder; however, in these individuals, these pathways have become like highways. Correcting the infrastructure in the brain with medication and neuromodulation therapy is a priority. According to the treatment plan, the management of thoughts and emotions to be done with the guidance of the therapist during the psychotherapy phase is very valuable for the permanence of the treatment."
To manage these four things, it is necessary to manage brain programs well...
Prof. Nevzat Tarhan stated that "The psychological capital of every human being is made up of thoughts, feelings, behaviors and values. To manage them, it is necessary to use the brain program well. This is where self-help comes in handy. Managing psychological capital in place, on time and in dose with the logic of resource management requires time and openness to learning. For this reason, stubborn people who are rigid in thought become prisoners of fears because they cannot show mental flexibility."
"Recovery through inclusion in business life is an ideal situation"
Stating that working in a job and having a purpose when you get up in the morning is an area of positive change in people who have OCD, Tarhan expressed that "Recovery through inclusion in social and business life is an ideal situation. Thus case examples and experience transfer are very valuable. Mr. Salih Ercan, under the guidance of Assoc. Prof. Oğuz Tan, did a very good job of turning such an accumulation of experience into a book. I hope that it will touch the lives of many people, and I congratulate them for this useful source work. I wish the readers healthy and peaceful learning."
The aim of the work was to understand the behavior of the employees
In this work, Dr. Salih Ercan and Assoc. Prof. Oğuz Tan aim to contribute to the literature of organizational behavior research, which is carried out to understand, interpret and motivate and guide the behaviors of employees in line with organizational goals, by offering up-to-date, functional and effective solutions in the context of obsessive-compulsive disorder.
