Ambassador of Peace Enzo Ikah: "War is the story of foolish men, peace is the story of wise men"
African musician and peace ambassador Enzo Ikah's new book "Invisible Chains" has been published for the first time by Üsküdar University Press. Enzo Ikah makes an important contribution to the stage of history with his book Invisible Chains. Ikah stated that he questioned the West's false narratives about Africa and drew attention to the effects of psychological colonialism, and Ikah expressed that "War is the story of foolish men, peace is the story of wise men. It's better to walk without knowing where to go than to sit and do nothing."
"Africa's history should stop being told only from the point of view of the hunter"
Emphasizing that the history of Africa is generally told from a Western point of view, Enzo Ikah emphasized that this does not reflect the truth and stated that "I studied Psychology at the Sorbonne University in France. What I have learned in psychology is that when a person repeats the same lie for several years, there is a risk that the lie will become the truth if no one manages to refute it. If an animal tells you it can talk, it is probably lying. For several centuries, human history has been distorted as if the only color of the rainbow is white, and it has been monopolized by Westerners. In all the photographs exhibited at the Sorbonne University, I saw all the photographs on display in which scientists, researchers, inventors and philosophers were Western, or even Asian or no less African. I call it 'intellectual genocide'. However, science proves that mathematics, geometry, medicine, architecture, sports and art all came from Africa. When you visit their museum, you will only see the looters of the explorer war as proof of this. This means that they have no civilization. On the other side of history, Egyptian, Mesopotamian and Sumerian civilizations are recognized. Our famous hunter says that the history of Africa has never been anything but a history of hunger, disease, poverty and wars, as the West tries to present to the rest of the world by hiding its true history. The history of Africa must cease to be told only from the point of view of the hunter. Do not let it fool you."
"They imposed languages, religions, names, and education on the rest of the world"
Speaking about the title of his book, "Invisible Chains", Ikah emphasized that Western empires managed to control the thoughts of their colonized peoples by creating invisible chains in their minds and stated that "After seizing the stolen inheritance to raise his empire because he could not continue to fight every day, they created and succeeded on a psychological level invisible chains aimed at gaining a foothold in the thoughts of the colonized by creating religious myths, philosophies. They imposed languages, religions, names, education on the rest of the world. This is the real basis of Western empires that continue to pull the sheet to their side and invisibly chain the brains of non-Western citizens."
"Wars are not fought only at the front"
Enzo Ikah underlined that the purpose of writing the book Invisible Chains was the injustices done to the African people and condemned the exploitation and stated that "It has been a long time since I said that there are people who condemn this, and I said with them that I condemn slavery, plunder, and all the evil that we have done and continue to do to the African people. When we cry, we need to sign up for projects that will lead to restructuring, because a rejected project cannot have validity. After 60 years of independence, we must want to take control of our destiny. As a son of Africa, I also try to contribute on an intellectual level. Because wars are not fought only at the front. ‘Invisible chains’ also traces the future of Africa, telling how to go from low-level men to great men. If Africa has made the West what it is today, on a psychological level, it means we can do more, better."
"War is the story of foolish men, but peace is the story of wise men"
Emphasizing that it is not easy to destroy invisible chains and suggestions in people's minds, but the important thing is peace, Ikah said that "I know that it is not easy to eradicate these suggestions in people's minds, because it has taken centuries. War is the story of foolish men, but peace is the story of wise men. It is better to walk without knowing where to go than to sit and do nothing."
