Prof. Ersin Nazif Gürdoğan, who was followed with interest and appreciated for his books, academic studies and conferences, passed away at the age of 79. Üsküdar University Advisor to the Rector, academician, author and thinker Gürdoğan has important studies that will guide both academics and life. Gürdoğan participated in the 5th Annual Symposium organized by Üsküdar University in 2020. He was awarded at the High Human Values Awards Ceremony.

Prof. Ersin Nazif Gürdoğan, who carried out qualified studies on a global scale, died in the hospital where he had been treated.

Author-Academician Prof. Nazif Gürdoğan was awarded at the 5th Annual Symposium organized by Üsküdar University in 2020 for his “studies that conritube to an ideal genetation that is entitled as ‘Asım’ın Nesli’ by Mehmet Akif Ersoy who defines life as an invisible university”. He was awarded at the High Human Values Awards Ceremony.

In his speech, Gürdoğan made the following remarks:

"We need human values more than ever. Just as agricultural societies have transformed into industrial societies and industrial societies have transformed into information societies, information societies must transform into value societies in the next years. Today's most important source of power will be values. The 24 values are very important for the future of the world. Worthless knowledge is always destructive..." Winner of the 2020 Mehmet Akif İnan Culture, Art and Literature Award, economics professor Prof. Ersin Nazif Gürdoğan was sent off by his loved ones in Eskişehir after the funeral prayer held at the Marmara University Faculty of Theology Mosque following the noon prayer on Tuesday, August 20, 2024.

WHO IS ERSİN NAZİF GÜRDOĞAN?

Prof. Nazif Gürdoğan graduated from İstanbul Technical University, Department of Mechanical Engineering in 1967.

After completing his master's degree at İstanbul University School of Business in 1968, Gürdoğan completed his doctorate in Production Management in 1975 and received the title of Doctor.

He received the title of Associate Professor in 1987 and became Professor in 1994.

Gürdoğan, who taught at universities in Türkiye and abroad, served as the Advisor to the Rector of Üsküdar University.

Gürdoğan was also participated in qualified studies at Üsküdar University.
