Social Innovation Model Projects Kick-off Meeting Held

Üsküdar University, which is the pioneer of social innovation, continues to make a difference both regionally and nationally with KASTOB. Hosted by Üsküdar University, a kick-off meeting on "Social Innovation Model Projects" was held with the Confederation of Black Sea Non-Governmental Organizations (KASTOB). The meeting constituted the first step of the projects to be submitted to the Ministry of Interior. Üsküdar University, KASTOB and affiliated federation presidents held an important meeting that will shape the future of social innovation. In this context, the importance of Social Innovation Model projects was emphasized and strategic planning was made.

At the meeting held at Üsküdar University Central Campus, the knowledge of the academic world and the practical experiences of non-governmental organizations were brought together. The meeting was attended by KASTOB President Nevzat Duyar, Üsküdar University Advisor to the Rector and Head of Financial Affairs Group Emine Dönmez, ARGEYEP President Assoc. Prof. Müge Ensari Özay, Director of Young Minds Academy Asst. Prof. Nebiye Yaşar, Head of Financial Affairs Department Ümit Daşdemir and Federation Presidents participated.

Details of innovative steps that will provide social benefit were discussed

In the meeting held with KASTOB, it was aimed for non-governmental organizations to develop solutions to social problems and to implement these solutions. The president of the confederation and the leaders of the federation exchanged ideas on various projects and discussed the details of innovative steps that will benefit the society. At the meeting, strategic planning was made on issues such as sustainability of projects, effective use of resources and reaching large masses.

KASTOB President Nevzat Duyar: "We play a key role in social transformation"

KASTOB President Nevzat Duyar drew attention to the role of non-governmental organizations in social transformation at the meeting. Hear; "As non-governmental organizations, we play a key role in social transformation. We are working for a more livable world with our social innovation projects." Duyar also talked about the "Hatay Civil Society Village" project, the Women on the Shore Short Film Contest and the February 27 World Non-Governmental Organizations Day.

Attention was drawn to the issues that need to be considered in financial processes

Advisor to the Rector, Head of Financial Affairs Group Emine Dönmez drew attention to the issues that need to be considered in the financial processes of the projects. TÜBİTAK projects collaborations were discussed.

ARGEYEP President Assoc. Prof. Müge Ensari Özay touched upon the cooperation between the European Union and TÜBİTAK projects.

The importance of Social Innovation Model projects was emphasized

At the meeting, the Director of the Young Minds Academy Asst. Prof. Nebiye Yaşar emphasized the importance of Social Innovation Model Projects. Yaşar made statements with the exemplary projects and stated that they aim to base the projects on scientific foundations and to get more effective results. Head of the Financial Affairs Department Ümit Daşdemir stated that they will provide all kinds of support to the federations in terms of budget. The presidents of the federations also emphasized the importance of cooperation and solidarity and expressed the power of acting together in projects for the benefit of society.

Projects will be submitted to the Ministry of Interior

The projects, which will be prepared by KASTOB and the federation presidents with the support of Üsküdar University Young Minds Academy, ARGEYEP and Financial Affairs, will be submitted to the Ministry of Interior. The projects, which will be implemented with the support and approval of the Ministry, aim to make significant contributions to the spread of social innovation in the Black Sea region and throughout Türkiye.

The meeting held by KASTOB at Üsküdar University once again revealed the determination and vision of non-governmental organizations on social innovation.

With the projects to be submitted to the Ministry of Interior, it is aimed to bring permanent solutions to social problems and to look to the future with more hope.
