Üsküdar academicians' inventions in the field of health were patented

Üsküdar University Faculty of Health Sciences Vice Dean Asst. Prof. Tuğba Yılmaz Esencan and Vice President of Midwifery Department of Faculty of Health Sciences Asst. Prof. Ayça Demir Yıldırım received patent and utility model registration with her innovative works that contribute to the field of health. While the projects they developed aimed to meet an important need both in clinical practices and in the field of education, they offered solutions to increase quality in the health sector. The inventions, which are registered as patents and utility models, also aim to make a difference in many areas from newborn screening to pregnancy follow-up.

The device eliminates the need for retesting!

Vice Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences Asst. Prof. Tuğba Yılmaz Esencan and Vice President of Midwifery Department of Faculty of Health Sciences Assist. The "Heel Blood Collection Device" developed by Asst. Prof. Ayça Demir Yıldırım received patent registration.

The device, which is designed to be used in heel blood collection procedures from newborn babies for health screening, also ensures that the blood sample is taken equally every time thanks to its innovative design, eliminating the need for insufficient samples or retests.

The aim is to be able to detect possible health problems in the development of the fetus early

Assist. Another study of Ayça Demir Yıldırım, "Fundal Height and Pregnancy Calculation Training Material", was registered as a useful model.

This invention was designed to evaluate the development of the fetus in the womb and to detect possible health problems early. The material, which has a special chart showing the fundal height according to the gestational week and a moving week chart for demonstration, aims to provide a more conscious follow-up of the pregnancy process.
