We see that sports have very positive effects on general health in countries that have spread them in society. Sports are also extremely important in terms of preventive health. I recommend everyone to choose and pursue a sport that they can do for life. You will be happier, your soul will be healthier, your human relations will be good. Of course, unwanted injuries occur from time to time while performing these sports activities. At this point, our physiotherapist friends come into play. Especially nowadays, it is very important that they get people up while playing sports or after different injuries. Physiotherapists are very good at making a person with restricted movements self-sufficient."

Stating that the increasing prevalence of sports today and its transformation into a job and occupation that employees in different fields are interested in, shows that sports are indeed an important phenomenon, Head of the Department of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation Prof. Deniz Demirci said that "Although it is accepted that sports emerged as a means of getting away from work with a game, it is seen that it has gained gold value in terms of both economic, legal and international peace. In this sense, sports have become a multifaceted social pride, and the main actors of this are undoubtedly the athletes." Pointing out that sports are good for both physical and mental health, Prof. Deniz Demirci stated that "However, sometimes we may encounter injuries or pains while doing sports or after sports. This is where physiotherapy comes into play.
Physiotherapy is a treatment method used to prevent and heal injuries. Using the scientific elements of the movements, it relieves pain in the body, increases flexibility and strengthens the muscles. While it helps athletes recover faster, it also helps prevent injuries that may occur in the future.
They create treatment plans that are suitable for the needs of individuals or the needs of the athletes they work with, and these plans include many different techniques from exercises to manual therapy. However, physiotherapy can be used not only in case of injury, but also to improve sports performance. Especially professional athletes work with physiotherapists to have a stronger, balanced and flexible body. This allows them to perform even better on the field and on stage. Physiotherapy is an indispensable title of sports."

Sport cannot be considered as a superiority of physical ability alone. Understanding, intelligence and morality also help in this work. We gratefully commemorate our ancestors and martyrs who shed light on us with the phrase 'I like the smart, agile and at the same time moral of the athlete'."
