Melike Esentepe, a senior student at Üsküdar University, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Department of Political Science and International Relations and an intern at Üsküdar University Strategic Studies Application and Research Center (ÜSSAM), made it to the finals of the “Contest of Research and Analytical Papers on the Middle East in honor of Evgeniy M. Primakov” which was held for the 7th time this year, with her article titled "Public Diplomacy Activities Between Türkiye and Russia". Esentepe was invited to the final ceremony to be held in Moscow.

She discussed public diplomacy activities between Türkiye and Russia

Melike Esentepe, a senior student at the Department of Political Science and International Relations at Üsküdar University, discussed the impact of public diplomacy activities between the two countries on the relations between these countries in her research article titled "Public Diplomacy Activities Between Türkiye and Russia".

In this context, she stated that countries also compare the activities of soft power institutions within the framework of public diplomacy.

Diplomatic relations between the two countries were analyzed

Esentepe examined the activities in Russia through Yunus Emre Institute, one of Türkiye's most important institutions, the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA) and the Presidency for Turks Abroad and Related Communities and stated that she benefited from Turkish, English and Russian sources in her article.

At the same time, Melike Esentepe, who stated that she used the interview method as a research method, explained the purpose of the study.

Esentepe expressed that "It is to reveal how the cultural activities carried out by these institutions affect the public opinion of the countries and the role they play in the diplomatic relations between the two countries by comparative analysis.”
