"Study Tour" event was organized with Hong Kong Chu Hai College

Üsküdar University continues to maintain international collaborations. With the 'Study Tour' event held with Hong Kong Chu Hai College, it was aimed to increase Erasmus & Exchange Programs Mobility. The event was attended by prominent figures of Chu Hai College.

Vice President of Hong Kong Chu Hai College Jane Zhang and Hong Kong Chu Hai College One Belt One Road Research Institute Director Prof. Thomas Chan attended the event held at Üsküdar University South Campus Fuat Sezgin Conference Hall.

President of Üsküdar University Psychiatrist Prof. Nevzat Tarhan, Üsküdar University Rector Prof. Nazife Güngör, Üsküdar University Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences Political Science and International Relations (English) Department Head Prof. Havva Kök Arslan, Üsküdar University Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences History Department Head Asst. Prof. Uygar Aydemir, Hong Kong Trade Development Council Türkiye Representative Perran Ersu Özçaldıran and Üsküdar University Department of Neuromarketing Head Asst. Prof. Selami Varol Ülker also attended the event.

Prof. Nevzat Tarhan: "We attach great importance to scientific cooperation between countries"

President of Üsküdar University Psychiatrist Prof. Nevzat Tarhan made the opening speech of the event. In his speech, Tarhan stated that "We are together for this important agreement between Chu Hai College and Üsküdar University. As Üsküdar University, our vision is to establish more interdisciplinary relations with international partners. In this context, we have been established as a thematic university since the establishment of the university. We have an R&D focus especially in the field of health sciences, engineering sciences and behavioral sciences. We have a very serious infrastructure for the work to be done in these areas. Our students can work in our laboratories on neuroscience and neurogenetics. I would like to state that we are ready for such joint projects. This year, we have made an important innovation regarding the health sciences and neuroscience infrastructure of our university. We have 7 artificial intelligence supported MRI devices in the world and the first in Türkiye. We are open to neuroscience studies. We attach great importance to scientific cooperation between countries. We are very happy that you are a partner with us in student exchange programs in this regard."

Prof. Nazife Güngör: "It is a great pleasure to have you join us..."

Üsküdar University Rector Prof. Nazife Güngör made her speech as follows: "We are very happy to have you as a guest of our university. Üsküdar University is one of the most important foundation universities in Türkiye. It is an important university with the quality of education it provides, the quality and vision of the scientific research it is doing. Currently, it contributes to scientific studies by conducting some important research at the international level around the world, especially in neuroscience, psychology and psychiatry studies, and in behavioral sciences in general. The fact that our university is the only university representing our country in the G20 is an indication that we have set a worldwide vision in scientific studies and education and training. It is a great pleasure for us that you will join us in this process and that we will carry out the process of serving humanity and the world scientifically together."

It is aimed to increase cooperation...

Jane Zhang, Vice President of Hong Kong Chu Hai College, in her speech by connecting to the "Study Tour" event online, pointed out that the new partner agreement has started productively. Zhang stated that they aim to increase their cooperation with various projects in the future.

In his online speech, Prof. Thomas Chan, Director of the One Belt One Road Research Institute at Hong Kong Chu Hai College, stated that they will work on increasing cooperation with the 'One Belt, One Road Project'. He noted that they aim to increase the mobility of Erasmus & Exchange Programs between Üsküdar University and Hong Kong Chu Hai College.

After the opening speeches, Üsküdar University Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences Department of Political Science and International Relations (English) Head Prof. Havva Kök shared her presentation titled "An Overview of Türkiye's Development in the Context of Eurasian Connectivity" with the participants.

Üsküdar University, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Head of the Department of History, Asst. Prof. Uygar Aydemir presented his presentation titled "History and Culture of İstanbul" to the participants.

Hong Kong Trade Development Council Türkiye Representative Perran Ersu Özçaldıran made a presentation titled "Trade Opportunities between Türkiye and Hong Kong".

Üsküdar University Department of Neuromarketing Head Asst. Prof. Selami Varol Ülker shared his presentation titled "Neuromarketing: Unraveling Consumer Behavior".

The event ended after a group photo shoot.

The delegation also visited NPİSTANBUL Hospital...

After the event, Hong Kong Chu Hai College members visited Üsküdar University NP Health Campus and NPİSTANBUL Hospital. The delegation, which made trips and examinations, also received information from the authorities.
