The 'Beylikdüzü Disaster and Emergency Response Station' of the project titled "Resistive City: Beylikdüzü", which was carried out by Beylikdüzü Municipality to provide services in possible disasters and emergencies, was launched. At the launch, Turkey's seismicity was emphasized, and the importance of pre-earthquake mitigation efforts was emphasized after the February 6 Kahramanmaraş earthquakes and their effects. In this context, stations placed in 10 neighborhoods were introduced. On behalf of Üsküdar University, Vocational School of Health Services Emergency and Disaster Management Program Head Instructor Ayşe Yıldırım attended.
Nearly five hundred people participated in the launch held at the Post-Disaster Temporary Shelter and Logistics Center.
'Beylikdüzü Disaster Management Model' introduced
The Mayor of Beylikdüzü and his deputies, fire brigade personnel, municipal employees and various search associations attended the launch which attracted great attention. At the launch, which started with the screening of the promotional documentary, the 'Beylikdüzü Disaster Management Model' was introduced. Head of Emergency and Disaster Management Program Instructor Ayşe Yıldırım examined the containers introduced at the launch.
Resistive City: Beylikdüzü
Within the scope of the 'Beylikdüzü Disaster Management Model', which makes the city more resistive and prepares it for all kinds of disasters with the aim of ‘Resistive City: Beylikdüzü', in the stations placed based on the number of buildings and the population of the neighborhood. There are 6 electric heavy-duty breaker, 30 cm diameter gasoline concrete cutters, electric and manual iron cutters, electric heaters, field and regional lighting equipment, oxygen tubes, high angle and low angle rescue equipment, shower and toilet, fire extinguishers, 66 liters medicine and vaccine storage cabinet with cooler memory, fire blankets and a dormitory for 9 people. Apart from the stations, drones were also introduced to analyze the situation in the whole district in a possible disaster scenario.

Folding containers, which can be set up in four minutes in the disaster area, were also introduced at the launch. Folding containers attracted great attention from the participants. After the introduction of the containers, the launch ended.
