ÖSYM Scholarships/Discounts
These are the tuition fee scholarships and discounts given to students who prefer one of the programs of Üsküdar University specified as Scholarship, 50% Discount or 25% Discount in the Higher Education Programs and Quotas Guide and are placed and enrolled in this program by ÖSYM.
First 5 Preference Scholarship
Students who are enrolled in Üsküdar University undergraduate and associate degree programs by ÖSYM, whose first, second, third, fourth and fifth preferences are all Üsküdar University programs and who are placed in one of these 5 preferences with a 50% or 25% discount, 25% discount is applied in addition to the ÖSYM discount, and 25% discount is applied to those who are placed with full fee.
Preference Scholarship
Among the students who are enrolled in Üsküdar University full-fee undergraduate and associate degree programs by ÖSYM, 35% discount is applied to those who are placed in one of the departments of our University from their first choice, 15% discount is applied to those who are placed from their second choice, and 10% discount is applied to those who are placed from their third, fourth and fifth choices.
University Entrance Scholarship
According to the results of ÖSYS, according to the undergraduate programs of Üsküdar University, excluding the Faculty of Medicine; Students who enroll among the first 1000 students are given a monthly scholarship of 1000 TL for 8 months as a contribution to their undergraduate education and success. The scholarship in this article covers students who will continue their education life at Üsküdar University for 4 years and who are continuous and successful during this period.
Faculty of Medicine Entrance Scholarship
According to the results of ÖSYS, Üsküdar University's Faculty of Medicine;
- As a contribution to the undergraduate education and success of the top 10 students, a monthly scholarship of 5000 TL for 8 months and free dormitory and food facilities,
- A monthly scholarship of 4000 TL for 8 months to students who enroll among the top 11-100 students as a contribution to their undergraduate education and success,
- A monthly scholarship of 3000 TL for 8 months for the first 101-500 enrolled students as a contribution to their undergraduate education and success,
- Students who register among the top 501-1000 will receive a monthly scholarship of 2000 TL for 8 months as a contribution to their undergraduate education and success.
- Among the students who enroll in the top 10, those who want to study optional English preparatory course will be given a free preparatory course.
- The scholarships in this article cover students who will continue their education at Üsküdar University for 6 years and who are continuous and successful during this period.
Sibling Scholarship
An additional discount of 10% is given to each of the siblings studying at Üsküdar University, including siblings of graduating students.
Science and Idea Festival Scholarship
In the Science and Idea Festival organized in cooperation with Üsküdar University and Istanbul Directorate of National Education, among the students who ranked in the top 3 in each category separately, the discounts of those who write Üsküdar University paid, 25% and 50% discounted programs in their first five preferences and settle in one of these preferences are completed to 75%.
Institution Scholarship
At the time of final enrollment in all associate and undergraduate programs of Üsküdar University, a 10% discount on tuition fees is given to the children of members of the Turkish Armed Forces, Police Force, Ministry of Health, Ministry of Family and Social Policies, Ministry of Health, Ministry of Family and Social Policies, University and National Education, employees subject to 657 and employees.
Special Deprivation Scholarship
Those who grew up in the dormitories of the Ministry of Family and Social Policies and those who grew up without a mother or father during primary education are given a 50% discount.
Sports Scholarship
Among the students enrolled in Üsküdar University's programs, 25% tuition fee discount is given to those who submit a national athlete certificate, 20% to athletes who play in professional leagues in one of the sports branches, and 15% to athletes who have ranked in the top three in the last three years in individual sports branches in national competitions. These students represent Üsküdar University in all kinds of activities related to their fields.
Ministry of Youth and Sports Scholarship
In accordance with the agreement signed between the Ministry of Youth and Sports and our University, athletes who have been certified to be successful in the fields specified by the Ministry of Youth and Sports in the last 4 years are awarded a 100% education scholarship, limited to the duration of their normal education, if they choose our University and settle in our University.
Science, Art, Religion and Culture Scholarship
Students who have achieved international success in the fields of Science, Art, Religion and Culture are given a 20% discount on tuition fees, and students who have achieved national success are given a 10% discount on tuition fees. These students represent Üsküdar University in all kinds of activities related to their fields.
International Baccalaureate Scholarship
Students enrolled in Üsküdar University's undergraduate programs who have an International Baccalaureate diploma grade of 32 and above are given a 25% tuition fee discount.
TÜBİTAK Scholarship
Students who receive gold, silver and bronze medals in international competitions determined by TUBITAK and who enroll in our full scholarship departments and programs in the field in which they received awards are given a monthly scholarship of 300 TL during the academic year.
Academic Success Scholarship
At the end of each academic year, students who have studied at least two semesters in undergraduate and associate degree programs and have a weighted grade point average of 3.50 and above are given a discount of 3.90-4.00 50%, 3.80-3.89 40%, 3.70-3.79 30%, 3.60-3.69 20%, 3.50-3.59 10% from the following year's tuition fee according to the degree of success.
Staff Scholarship
A 50% discount on tuition fees is given to employees who are actually working at Üsküdar University or NP Group at the time of their final registration to Üsküdar University, and to the parents, spouses, children and siblings of employees. A 25% discount is given to the academic staff, parents, spouses, children and siblings of the academic staff who have completed one year at the time of their final enrollment at Üsküdar University.
Graduate Scholarship
Students who graduate from any associate degree or undergraduate program of Üsküdar University and are placed in Üsküdar University programs are given a 20% discount on tuition fees.
Board of Trustees Scholarship
The commission formed by the Board of Trustees is authorized to grant scholarships up to 2% of the University's education income based on the applications of needy students through the solution center, according to their declared and documented needs. This rate excludes scholarships given within the scope of the scholarship directive. The scholarship rate is applied as a discount on the fee to be paid by the student.
Need Scholarship
While continuing their education at Üsküdar University, students who have difficulty in paying due to unforeseen reasons and who document this situation are given lunch scholarships and study scholarships during the academic year with the decision of the Board of Trustees if the scholarship commission deems it appropriate. Students who wish to benefit from these scholarships in the following years must reapply with the required documents.
Disabled Student Scholarship
Disabled students enrolling in Üsküdar University's programs according to the report rate;
Disability 40%: 25% discount
Disability status 50% : 30% discount
Disability status 60%: 35% discount
Disability status 70%: 40% discount
Disability status 80%: 45% discount
Disability status 90% and above: 50% discount is given.
Vertical Transfer Scholarship
An additional 10% discount is given to Üsküdar University SHMYO graduates who are enrolled in the programs of Üsküdar University that take students with DGS with 50% discount by ÖSYM.
Scope and Termination of Scholarship
- The scholarship/discount provided to students placed in Üsküdar University's Scholarship/Discount programs covers only the tuition fee.
- Students can benefit from only one of the scholarships/discounts of our University, except for the Sibling Scholarship.
- Within the framework of this directive, students who are entitled to receive more than one scholarship/discount, excluding the Sibling Scholarship, can only benefit from the one with the highest amount.
- Students who are entitled to receive more than one preference scholarship within the framework of this directive can only benefit from the one with the highest amount.
- ÖSYM Scholarships/Discounts are not interrupted during the normal education period regardless of the success status. (The normal education period is valid until the end of the second grade in associate degree programs, until the end of the fourth grade in undergraduate departments (sixth grade in the Faculty of Medicine, fifth grade in the Faculty of Dentistry), and also includes the time to be spent in the preparatory class in departments where the language of instruction is English).
- Scholarships and discounts granted by the Board of Trustees, other than ÖSYM scholarships/discounts, are terminated for students who receive a disciplinary penalty.
- Scholarships and discounts granted by the Board of Trustees for students who fail the 1st year of preparatory education and will continue in the 2nd year are terminated.
- If a student studying at our university takes the exam again and settles in the same program, he/she cannot benefit from scholarships/discounts other than ÖSYM scholarships/discounts.
- In the event that the employment relationship of the student who receives a staff scholarship is terminated, except for the retirement of himself/herself, his/her mother, father, spouse, child or sibling, the staff scholarship is terminated.
- The need scholarship, which is not directly related to the tuition fee, and the scholarships applied in the form of monthly lump sum payments can be combined with other scholarships/discounts.
- The free dormitory opportunity to be provided within the scope of the Faculty of Medicine Entrance Scholarship is for students residing outside of Istanbul, and the free meal opportunity will be provided as breakfast in the dormitory cafeteria and lunch in the university cafeteria.
- Preference scholarships are valid for students who are placed in our University with YKS as of 2023.
- The success scholarships of students who are entitled to receive academic success scholarships at the Faculty of Medicine will not be interrupted during the normal education period if their weighted GPA is 3.50 and above in the following years.
- Personnel who are actually working within Üsküdar University or NP Group may be eligible for scholarships in undergraduate and associate degree programs, valid only in the second education.
- The person who benefits from the staff scholarship must continue to work at the University or NP Group for at least 2 years after graduation. However, the employer reserves the right to terminate the employment relationship within this period.
- Within the scope of this directive, the First 5 Preference Scholarship is only applied in addition to ÖSYM Discounts.
