Scholarships

OSYM Scholarships and Discounts

These are the tuition scholarships and discounts granted to students who choose one of Üsküdar University's programs listed as "Scholarship" or "50% Discount" in the Higher Education Programs and Quotas Guide, and who are placed in and register for that program by OSYM (Measuring, Selection and Placement Center).

Preference Scholarship (*)

For students who register for Üsküdar University's 50% Discounted undergraduate and associate degree programs through OSYM, an ADDITIONAL 35% discount is applied on top of the OSYM discount for those placed in our university's departments as their first choice, an ADDITIONAL 25% for those placed as their second or third choice, and an ADDITIONAL 15% for those placed as their fourth or fifth choice.

For students who register for Üsküdar University's full-tuition undergraduate and associate degree programs through OSYM, a discount of 35% for those placed in our university's departments as their first choice, 25% for those placed as their second or third choice, and 15% for those placed as their fourth or fifth choice is applied.

You can earn extra discounts by listing Üsküdar University's undergraduate and associate degree programs high on your YKS (Higher Education Institutions Exam) preference list: 

(*) It is not required that all 5 of your preferences be Üsküdar University. Whichever of the ranks specified in the table you are placed in, the corresponding discount rate will be applied.

Campus Scholarship

An ADDITIONAL 5% discount is given to candidates who visit our campuses in person during the 2026 YKS Preference Promotion Days, receive support from our preference promotion experts, and fill out the Digital Candidate Information Form.

Family Scholarship

An ADDITIONAL discount of 10% is given for each family member studying at Üsküdar University, covering mother, father, spouse, children and siblings (including the relevant relatives of graduated students).

Cooperation Protocol Scholarship

Students who gain the right to register at our university under protocols signed between Üsküdar University and official/private secondary education institutions, various public institutions, and private sector organizations are granted a scholarship/discount at the rate specified in the relevant protocols.  (To see all partner institutions, click here)

Ministry of Youth and Sports Scholarship

Under the agreement signed between the Ministry of Youth and Sports and our University, athletes who are certified to have achieved success within the last 4 years in the fields specified by the Ministry of Youth and Sports are granted a 100% tuition scholarship, limited to the duration of their normal education period, provided they choose and are placed at our University.

Institutional Scholarship

At the time of final registration for any of Üsküdar University's associate and undergraduate degree programs, a 10% discount on tuition fees is given to those with the following qualifications, and to the children of such employees: members of the Turkish Armed Forces, Police Department, Ministry of Health, Ministry of Family and Social Policies, University and Ministry of National Education staff, and employees subject to Law No. 657.

University Entrance Scholarship

For students who are placed in higher education for the first time via YKS in any of Üsküdar University's undergraduate programs and who register ranking within the first 1000 according to OSYS results, a monthly net minimum wage and free lunch are provided for 8 months as a contribution to their undergraduate education and achievements. The scholarships in this article are valid for students who continue their education at Üsküdar University for the normal duration of the program and who remain continuously enrolled and successful throughout that period.

Special Hardship Scholarship

A 50% discount is given to those raised in the dormitories of the Ministry of Family and Social Policies, and to those who grew up without a mother and father during their primary education period.

Sports Scholarship

Students who register for Üsküdar University's programs and who present a National Athlete Certificate, athletes who play in professional leagues in one of the sports branches, and athletes who have ranked in the top three in individual sports branches in national competitions within the last three years are given a discount at the quota and rate determined by the Board of Trustees. These students represent Üsküdar University in all activities related to their field.

Science, Art, Religion and Culture Scholarship

A 20% discount on tuition fees is given to students who have achieved success at the international level in the fields of Science, Art, Religion and Culture, and a 10% discount on tuition fees to those who have achieved success at the national level. These students represent Üsküdar University in all activities related to their field.

International Baccalaureate Scholarship

A 25% discount on tuition fees is given to students registering for Üsküdar University's undergraduate programs whose International Baccalaureate diploma score is 32 or above.

TÜBİTAK Scholarship

Students who win gold, silver, or bronze medals during their high school education in international competitions determined by TÜBİTAK, and who register for our fully-scholarship departments and programs in the field for which they received the award, are given a monthly scholarship of 5,000 TL for 8 months. The scholarship in this article is valid for students who continue their education at Üsküdar University for the normal duration of the program and who remain continuously enrolled and successful throughout that period.

Academic Achievement Scholarship

At the end of each academic year, students in undergraduate and associate degree programs who have completed at least two semesters and have a cumulative grade point average of 3.50 or above are given a discount on the following year's tuition fee based on their achievement level: 3.90-4.00 → 50%, 3.80-3.89 → 40%, 3.70-3.79 → 30%, 3.60-3.69 → 20%, 3.50-3.59 → 10%.

Staff Scholarship

A 50% discount on tuition fees is given to employees actively working at Üsküdar University or the NP Group at the time of final registration at Üsküdar University, as well as to the mother, father, spouse, children and siblings of such employees. A 25% discount is given to academic staff who are actively working on an hourly-paid basis at the time of final registration at Üsküdar University, as well as to their mother, father, spouse, children and siblings.

Graduate Scholarship

A 20% discount on tuition fees is given to students who have graduated from any associate or undergraduate degree program of Üsküdar University and are placed again in Üsküdar University's programs.

Board of Trustees Scholarship

Based on applications made by students in need through the solution center, established by a commission formed by the Board of Trustees, the Board of Trustees is authorized to grant a scholarship of up to 2% of the University's education revenue, according to the declared and documented need situations. This rate is separate from the scholarships granted under the scholarship directive. The scholarship rate granted is applied as a discount on the fee to be paid by the student.

Need-Based Scholarship

Students who are currently studying at Üsküdar University and who fall into payment difficulties due to unforeseen reasons, and who document this situation, are given a lunch scholarship and a work scholarship for the academic year by a Board of Trustees Decision, upon the approval of the scholarship commission. Students who wish to benefit from these scholarships in subsequent years must reapply with the required documents.

Foreign National Student Scholarship

Each foreign national student who completes final registration at Üsküdar University under the foreign national student quota is given a tuition fee discount at the rate determined annually by the Board of Trustees.

Disabled Student Scholarship

According to the report rate for disabled students who register for Üsküdar University's programs;

Disability level 40%: 25% discount

Disability level 50%: 30% discount

Disability level 60%: 35% discount

Disability level 70%: 40% discount

Disability level 80%: 45% discount

Disability level 90% and above: 50% discount is given.

Vertical Transfer Scholarship

An additional 20% discount is given to students who are placed with a 50% Discount through OSYM in Üsküdar University's programs accepting students via DGS (Vertical Transfer Exam) and who are graduates of Üsküdar University Vocational School of Health Services.

Science and Idea Festival Scholarship

For students who rank in the top 3 in each separate category at the Science and Idea Festival organized in cooperation with Üsküdar University and Provincial Directorates of National Education, and who are placed in Üsküdar University's tuition-based or 50% discounted programs as any of their first, second, third, fourth, or fifth choices, their discounts are completed to 75%.

INFORMATION ABOUT SCHOLARSHIPS

Sample discount calculation

Let's assume a student first receives a 50% OSYM discount, then an additional 35% preference discount:

• Annual fee: 100,000 TL
• After the 50% OSYM discount: 50,000 TL
• 35% preference discount on the remaining fee: 17,500 TL
• Amount to be paid by the student: 32,500 TL

Discount rates are not added together directly; discounts are applied sequentially on the remaining fee.

Validity Period of Scholarships

• OSYM scholarships and discounts are valid for the normal education period of the program.
• The scholarships and discounts of Faculty of Medicine and Faculty of Dentistry students continue for one additional year on top of the normal education period.
• The continuation conditions for achievement, need, sports and similar scholarships may vary depending on the type of scholarship.
• Scholarships and discounts only cover tuition fees. Expenses such as accommodation, transportation, books, food and similar costs are not included in the scope of the scholarship; support items specifically mentioned in the scholarship description are exceptions to this rule.
