Workshop on “Mizan” Concept in Islamic Thought had wide press coverage in Qatar
The second session of the Workshop on “Mizan” Concept in Islamic Thought was held in Doha, capital of Qatar between September 20-21, 2022. Many academicians, representatives of environmental organizations and students participated in the workshop held within Hamad Bin Khalifa University and Qatar Foundation. Environmentalists emphasized that the modern world faces an unprecedented environmental crisis. Qatar press institutions showed great interest to the Workshop on “Mizan” Concept in Islamic Thought.
“Al-Mizan: A Covenant for the Earth” supported by UNEP, aims to present and Islamic perspective and achieves to be main focus in a new platform every passing day. It is aimed to symbolize a global effort in development and adaptation of this call including Islamic philosopher and Muslim institutions.
“Al-Mizan: A Covenant for the Earth” consists of re-expressing current principles managing the protection of the nature in a way that meets the challenges. It emphasizes ethical principle behind the social order of human existence.
