The 2024 Board of Directors meeting of the Haydi Tut Elimi (Hold My Hand) Rehabilitation, Education and Assistance Association, which has been operating within Üsküdar University since 2010, was held under the chairmanship of President of Üsküdar University and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Haydi Tut Elimi Association Prof. Nevzat Tarhan. At the meeting, the activities held throughout the year and future collaborations were discussed.

The meeting held in the Senate hall of the Main Campus was attended by President of Üsküdar University and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Haydi Tut Elimi Association Prof. Nevzat Tarhan, Chairman of Commissions Prof. İsmail Barış, Secretary General Ayşe Banu Gönenci, Vice President of Project and Education Commission Asst. Prof. Nebiye Yaşar, Vice President of Health Activities Assist. Prof. Fatma Turan, Deputy Secretary General and Vice President of Press and Public Relations Ayşegül Shape, Vice President of Social Activities Serpil Tarhan, Üsküdar University Secretary General Selçuk Uysaler, Head of Corporate Communications Department Nur Akman and Media PR Unit Manager Şaban Özdemir.

At the meeting, the activities carried out with the support of the Haydi Tut Elimi Association, Üsküdar University Haydi Tut Elimi Club and Positive Psychology Club were discussed.

Prof. Nevzat Tarhan: "Teamwork is very important in the 21st century"

President of Üsküdar University and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Haydi Tut Elimi Association Prof. Nevzat Tarhan underlined that teamwork is very important in the 21st century. Pointing out that the importance and sanctioning power of NGOs on a global scale has increased, Tarhan noted that the work of the Haydi Tut Elimi Association is very important in this context.

Social responsibility activities were carried out throughout Türkiye...

Ayşe Banu Güngenci, Secretary General of Haydi Tut Elimi Association, made a presentation about her work covering 1 year at the meeting. Drawing attention to the activities of the association, Güngenci explained the social responsibility projects carried out by the Haydi Tut Elimi Association in 2024.

Earthquake zones have not been forgotten...

Stating that the Haydi Tut Elimi Association organizes more than one children's festival throughout 2024 and provides aid to those in need in the earthquake zones, Güngenci mentioned that the support given by the hearts of Üsküdar is very meaningful for them.

In her presentation, Güngenci also drew attention to the social responsibility projects they carried out in Adıyaman, Kastamonu, Hatay and Kocaeli.

Hundreds of earthquake victims were reached...

Volunteers provided aid to the earthquake zones of Adıyaman, Hatay and Kahramanmaraş within the scope of social responsibility projects throughout the year. The people of Üsküdar, who came together with hundreds of children, held children's festivals and organized workshops in the schools they visited.

"Small Hands, Big Expectations" project came together with students

Within the scope of the "Small Hands, Big Expectations" social responsibility project, the people of Üsküdar came together with the students at Kastamonu Atabeyli Primary and Secondary School and provided stationery materials, books, clothes and lunch boxes.

At the same time, the "NGOs at the University" project is being carried out...

The NGOs at the University project continues in partnership with Üsküdar University under the coordination of the Haydi Tut Elimi Association. With the project, it is aimed to strengthen the legal basis of NGOs in Türkiye's development process, to increase their quality, to participate more in decision-making processes, and to support the strengthening of their financial structure and human resources.

Fight against addiction and child abuse awareness activities are carried out...

As Haydi Tut Elimi Club and Haydi Tut Elimi Association, two separate presentations titled "Fighting Against Addiction, Youth Presentation and Child Abuse" were held in cooperation with Üsküdar District Police Department. Within the scope of the presentations, young people came together.

Immediately after the earthquake, aid was delivered to the people in the region...

Haydi Tut Elimi Association, Üsküdar University Health, Culture and Sports Department and Üsküdar University volunteer students came together with children in the earthquake zone in Kahramanmaraş and Hatay after the earthquake. Within the scope of the project, aid was brought to the region and a festive event was organized with children.

After discussing the possible collaborations at the meeting, the meeting ended with a group photo.

Why does the Haydi Tut Elimi Association exist?

Established in 2010 with the support of a few volunteers, the Haydi Tut Elimi Association carries out activities to take care of children who are exposed to neglect, abuse, violence and driven to crime. The association, which carries out preventive mental health, well-being and positive psychological reinforcement activities to protect children and young people between the ages of 0 and 18, operates with the aim of reintegrating them into society, transforming them into a family and supporting them in the process of completing their social rehabilitation.
