Üsküdar University has appointed a new Head of Corporate Communications Department!

Nur Akman started her duty as the Head of Corporate Communications Department at Üsküdar University in November.

Üsküdar University, which was established in 2011 with the title of "Türkiye’s first and only thematic university", announced that Nur Akman joined the university as the Head of Corporate Communications Department as of November 2024. Nur Akman will be responsible for internal and external communication activities, media relations management, digital marketing, social media management strategies, corporate publishing, production and TV broadcasting business processes and the management of these teams under the responsibility of the Corporate Communications Department.

After completing her education at Gazi University, Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, Department of Business Administration and Ankara University, Faculty of Communication, Department of Public Relations and Publicity, Nur Akman started her career as a reporter at Aktuel Magazine between 2000-2003.

Akman, who worked as a reporter for Tercüman and Birgün newspapers, worked as the publication coordinator of BusinessNews Türkiye and Global Economy magazines between 2005-2007.

Akman, who is among the first internet journalists in Türkiye, established the Digital Media and Web Coordinatorship under the Bahçeşehir University Corporate Communications Directorate between 2010-2022 and created and managed BAU's web pages and digital media channels.

Between 2022 and 2023, Nur Akman carried out all the operational processes of 1 Million Books, a social responsibility project founded by Prof. Selçuk Şirin, as the COO (Chief Operating Officer).

Nur Akman is married and mother of 2 children.
