A cooperation protocol was signed between the Türkiye Darüşşifa Foundation and Üsküdar University. The project, which includes family medicine and family counseling trainings, is also aimed to be developed as a European Union project.

The meeting, which was held in the Senate meeting hall of Üsküdar University Main Campus, was attended by Vice Rector Prof. Hikmet Koçak, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Türkiye Darüşşifa Foundation Assoc. Prof. Tarık Eren Yılmaz, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine Prof. Haydar Sur, Director of URCE-Head of the Department of Family Counseling Dr. Mert Akcanbaş, Director of R&D and Innovation Policies Assoc. Prof. Müge Ensari Özay, Alaaddin Keykubat University Department of Family Medicine Prof. Kenan Taştan, Clinical Psychologist Elif Tokaç, Education Coordinator Ayfer Duran, Furkan Tokaç, Secretary General Selçuk Uysaler, Deputy Secretary General Ayşe Öztürk and Secretary of the Faculty of Medicine Zeynal Abidin Kocadağ.

The baseline of the project has been determined

The baseline of the cooperation project on family medicine and family counseling trainings to be carried out between Turkish Darüşşifa Foundation and Üsküdar University has been determined. It is aimed to develop the project as a European Union project and to involve different stakeholders.

At the meeting, two commissions consisting of academicians from both the Türkiye Darüşşifa Foundation and Üsküdar University were determined.

It was discussed that the first commission should review the curricula and training modules before the project, and the second commission should examine the case studies in the world and present their work until the next meeting.

Prof. Hikmet Koçak: "Our main goal is to save the family"

Mentioning that they wanted to start the project and form a team, Vice Rector Prof. Hikmet Koçak said that "There needs to be structures to save the family, to make the family strong and to encourage it. The family structure is deteriorating, and as the integrity is broken, being a family is also decreasing. Our main goal here is to save the family.”

Assoc. Prof. Tarık Eren Yılmaz: "We want to equip the content more"

Assoc. Prof. Tarık Eren Yılmaz, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Türkiye Darüşşifa Foundation, talked about the expectations of the foundation. It was stated that it was necessary to develop an international project together with Üsküdar University and to create a project that would contribute to basic health services by equipping this project with family health studies. Later, Yılmaz also drew attention to the need to review the curriculum created for the protection of the family structure.

Prof. Haydar Sur: "We need to do things that will directly protect it"

Making suggestions during the project planning phase, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine Prof. Dr. Haydar Sur stated that "We need to emphasize and address our truths. We need to strengthen the walls while revealing the truth. There are deficiencies in the preservation of the family structure. We need to do things that will directly protect the family structure."

Özay and Akcanbaş gave information about the project process

R&D and Innovation Policies Director Assoc. Prof. Müge Ensari Özay gave information about the project process and in this context, ideas were exchanged. Later, ÜSEM Director-Head of Family Counseling Department Dr. Mert Akcanbaş also drew attention to the concept of family.
